Editor’s Note: The Holy Bible, King James version, teaches us to “Love the Sinner”, but to “HATE the SIN!!” Too many times in America, as well as right here in Cleveland County too, Church Officials concentrate on Loving the Sinner, but forget in total the part about Hating the Sin.
Cleveland County Examples:
The Catawba Casino. The whole state of South Carolina refused to allow the Casino to be built in their State, but Cleveland County officials welcomed such “Sin Centers” with open arms. With little to NO opposition from Organized Churches here in CC. Note that Casino’s seem to attract other vices beside gambling. Prostitution and illegal drugs also come to mind. All with little to no major complaints from CC Churches.
The Uptown Shelby “Social District.” Where pubic consumption of alcoholic drinking is allowed to “spill out” onto the streets of uptown (or downtown0 Shelby in plain and open sight of our children. Right in front of the First Baptist Church and other Churches, without a peep of complaint.
Multiple “Hemp Stores” sprouting up everywhere in Cleveland County. At least five Hemp Stores in CC that Robert A has heard of. Kings Mountain, Grover and Shelby. Note that this count is around six months old. With more such stores opening or ready to open.
The Governor’s Inn in Shelby becoming a well-known place for drug sales and consumption, Prostitution solicitation and performance, deaths and other criminal acts and mayhem going on for decades. With little to NO outrages by the nearby Organized Churches of Shelby.
Graft and corruption among county and city officials going on for decades. Including lucrative “land “flips,” taxpayer funds being used to pay for travel junkets, and other unethical and/or illegal acts. Financial mismanagement of all sorts.
Various Unconstitutional acts that violate citizens the rights of Freedoms of speech, due process and equal protections under the law.
Various abuses of Federal Laws that are supposed to protect citizens from criminal violations made under the “Color of Law.” See US Code 262
Folks, The original purpose of this article was in regard to the “WOKE” Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde’s (bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington) public rebuke from the Pulpit of President Trump at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Bishop Budde is a long-time Trump-Hater and wacko-wierdo who let her foolish political opinions bleed over into her presentation of her “Sermon” from the pulpit with President Trump sitting there in the Front Pew. Bishop Budde’s rebuke of Trump is all over the national news and Robert A won’t repeated it here.
However: many People of God, Including Rev. Franklin Graham of NC, have been very, very critical of Bishop Budde’s foolish statements. From Robert A’s prospective, this was the best comment:
“The cause of America’s decline was not what was sitting in the pew but what was standing behind the pulpit. What we heard today was not a prophetic voice from the church, but rather pathetic.”

Considering all the various items listed above, from Robert A’s immediate memory, Robert A believes that Cleveland County Citizens, Taxpayers and Preachers too, need to look into the mirror and see for yourselves “The Cause of Cleveland County’s Decline!”
