Folks, it has been over two-weeks now since the latest of the many reports and the” breaking news” reports regarding the disappearance of Asha Degree finally being solved and perpetrator(s) had been identified were published. An old junk green car was towed by the FBI that was broadcast to MILLIONS that was alleged to be evidence and ground penetrating radar had discovered up to 7 dead and buried bodies. The perpetrators were alleged to have committed suicide after being questioned. Followed by an obituary that was posted on Facebook as proof. All and all, it appeared to the Cleveland County Facebook posters that the whole Roy Lee Dedmon FAMILY was caught-up in a conspiracy to hide their roles in the disappearance of the 9-year old Ashe Degree.
in this latest, and worst, Asha Degree “publicity stunt” perpetrated by the FBI, SBI and The CC Sheriff’s Office, it certainly appeared that the whole Roy Lee Dedmon family would soon be arrested, charged, prosecuted and punished severely for their certain participation in this heinous crime of the century right here in Cleveland County. No matter whether or not the Dedmon family had hired prominent Shelby Attorney David Teddy to represent them.
But that was just over two weeks ago. Now, there are NO press releases from the FBI. SBI or the Sheriff’s Office. NO ARRESTS. NO SUICIDES, NO CHARGES FILED. NO DEAD BODIES FOUND. NO EVIDENCE FROM THE GREEN CAR!!! Much less any indication of what ever happened to Asha Degree over 24 years ago. Law Enforcement at every level has ZERO PROOF of ANYTHIUNG or ANYBODY regarding the disappearance of Asha Degree. Much less ANYTHING that links Roy Lee Dedmon, his family or anybody else to the actual DISAPPEARANCE of Asha Degree!!!
Folks, let’s remember that this is the United States of America, where:
- A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of doubt in a court of law.
- A person or persons has/have the right to remain silent.
- The STATE has the responsibility to prove a person or persons are guilty!!
- No person or persons has/have the responsibility of proving themselves innocent.
Folks, NONE of the facts in this matter prove that Roy Lee Dedmon, or wife Connie or any of their children, or Reverend Nick Elliott or anybody else, dead or alive had anything at all to do with the disappearance of Asha Degree 24 years ago. And yet, the Roy Lee Dedmon family has been unfairly and illegally slandered, libeled and lied about all through the fabric of the Cleveland County, the NC Community and the USA Community. AND NOT ONE LIVING SOLE has apologized.

Robert A (Williams) is right now apologizing to the entire Roy Lee Dedmon family, and the Asha Degree family too, for all the hurt and shame brought down upon them by false information and the egregious speculation brought upon them by the FBI, SBI, The CC Sheriff’s Office and all the malicious Facebook posters who have participated in this Lynch Mob mentality type publicity-stunt.
Hopefully this Asha Degree disappearance will one day be solved in such a way that any and all guilty parties are successfully prosecuted and appropriately punished. But what we have seen in the past month (and the times before) has cast a long shadow upon law enforcement as well as the “hearts” of Cleveland County citizens. Shame, Shame, Shame on ALL of you!!!
