Congratulations to Gaston Christian School- East Cleveland Campus, Brittany McNeilly Austin as well as the sellers for closing on Central School in Kings Mtn! Here’s what she had to say…
“What a monumental way to end 2023! Since an email has been sent from the school, I can officially make a post. On December 22nd I had the honor of helping my girls’ school, Gaston Christian School, close on their new location in Kings Mountain.
For the last 18 months we’ve looked all over Cleveland County in hopes of finding a permanent location. From land, to churches, to school buildings that are no longer in use, and the list goes on. Prayer after prayer we knew Gods plan was far greater than our own, and we knew He had the ultimate say in where He wanted to grow this campus.
After talking with some colleagues and mentioning Central to our Head Master I was able to set up a tour of this historic property. GCS began to pray over this location, renovation costs and everything that was needed to restore this school back to its former beauty.Central School dates back to 1876 where it was first established as a Boarding and Day School and eventually turned into KMHS in 1887. My girls have been a part of Gaston Christian School for the last 4 years and I can’t say enough about the school, administrators, and teachers.
I know God is going to continue using this new campus in Kings Mtn to further His Kingdom and to Prepare People, Teach Truth and Glorify God.
`If you’re interested in a Christian education for your child, send me a message, I’m an open book. If you’re worried about the tuition cost NCSEAA has a program where you can have a significant amount of your child’s tuition paid for, and that application opens up on February 1st.

Editor’s Note: This is a happy time for Gaston Christian Schools, their students, Cleveland County parents, students, Elizabeth Baptist Church, taxpayers and many others. Robert A applauds all of you for this huge success.
However, as is often the case, the whole story has not yet been told. Part III of this article will show that this giant step in the Education of Cleveland County students should have and could have been accomplished much easier, cheaper and much sooner. (Hint: The problem is the political corruption in Cleveland County. From the CCS School Board to the CC Commissioners.)
