The Principal at the new North Shelby School sent an invitation to CCS School Board Chairman Robert Queen inviting the entire School Board to a Christmas Party at the new North Shelby School. Chairman Robert Queen turned around and passed the invitation along to only Joel Shores, Rodney Fitch, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor and Walter Scott Spurling. Chairman Robert Queen, in an evil and unprofessional act, specifically left off notifying School Board Members Danny Blanton, Ronnie Grigg and Aaron Bridges of the original invitation.
Editor’s Note: See Danny Blanton’s Facebook Page for a full account of the negative comments regarding this terrible, selfish, and childish incident. As well as the many responses made in disgust and disbelief regarding Queen, Shores, Fitch, Humphries, Taylor, and Spurling. And the many calls for defeating Queen, Shores, Humphries, Fitch, and Taylor in the 2024 Republican Primary School Board Elections.
Robert A. goes a bit further. Such a mean-spirited, unprofessional, and misguided dirty trick as this has evolved directly from the recent Cleveland County Republican Party (CCGOP) leadership. For instance:
- The CCGOP leadership, in the 2020 School Board Elections, coached School Board Candidates Robert Queen, Joel Shores, Ron Humphries, Rodney Fitch, and Greg Taylor to concentrate their campaign strategy on supporting “Transparency” during forums and campaign literature with the premise: “Tell the voters what the voters want to hear, but when you get elected, then do what you want!”
- The very same CCGOP leadership Executive Committee appointed Kevin Gordon to fill the vacancy of the resigned Tommy McNeilly who had won in the 2020 Commissioners Primary Election and in the process skipped over former State Senator Dennis Davis as well as Former Coroner Robbie Morgan, who had signed up and ran in the 2020 Commissioner Primary election.
- The CCGOP leadership caused NC State Senator Ted Alexander to re-appoint Robert Queen to the Cleveland Community College Board of Trustees after the CC Commissioners, learning of Queen’s hot temper and various other misbehaviors, refused to reappoint Queen to the CCCBoTs.
- The CCGOP leadership, then becoming known as the Rogue Republicans, enabled and supported Robert Queen, Ron Humphries, Dennis Bailey, Pam Keller, Guy Smith, David Allen, Joel Shores, Rodney Fitch, Greg Taylor and others to violate the CCGOP Plan of Organization by trying to recruit others (including Democrats) to defeat Danny Blanton and Ronnie Grigg in the 2022 Republican School Board Primary Elections as well as in the 2022 General Elections.
- The CCGOP fully supported the infamous Kangaroo Court and Illegal “Censure” of Danny Blanton and Ronnie Grigg for exercising their First Amendment Rights of Speech and talking to the Press regarding vandalism at Burns High School. As part of that “Censure,” both Blanton and Grigg were, in an act of pure evil and pure vindictiveness, not allowed to participate in the graduation ceremonies of relatives as school board members. They were only allowed to sit back in the crowd.
So, this continuing act of dirty tricks by Queen, et al, has continued up to this Christmas Season of 2023 against Danny Blanton and Ronnie Grigg. And you can bet that Robert Queen, et al will be blaming Danny Blanton, Ronnie Grigg, and now Aaron Bridges for being in the blame for this incident.
The lessons learned here are simple. Defeat all incumbent Rogue Republicans in the 2024 Elections for both the School Board and the Board of Commissioners. There are plenty of good Republican Candidates who are not pawns of the CCGOP to accomplish that goal.
One of those Republicans is the author of this article, Robert A. Williams for Commissioner. Robert A has clearly stated that he does not stand with the Rogue Republicans who are leaders in the CCGOP. Robert A. will also be evaluating other Republican Candidates for any association with the Rogue Republicans and the CCGOP.
But, for now, part of the solution is shown below.
