A trusted source has reported the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department’s Chief Deputy, Durwin Briscoe, has a son who has allegedly gotten himself in felony grade trouble over in Gaston County. And a felony warrant has been issued. It is further reported that this “son” lives in his father’s house which has a Shelby, NC address.
As the story goes, the felony warrant has, some time ago, been delivered to the Shelby Police Department and has yet to be served on the son. Normally such things would result in the son being arrested and transferred to Gaston County, where the son would post bail or be incarcerated in Gaston County, at the discretion of the Gaston County Justice System. Which comes under the very same laws as the Cleveland County Justice System. Same laws, same State, different locations, and different people.
This is not like the old days when you could escape to Mexico and avoid prosecution. Or is it??? Time will tell.
And we can tell time! We can also read the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution which promises equal treatment and equal protections under the law.
