Editor’s Note: On August 26, 2023 Robert A published an article titled: Part 4: Final (?) Update on CCS “Lost” School Bus Issues at KMMS. That question mark in that title has turned out to be totally appropriate and Robert A’s statements in that article that CCS/KMMS seemed to have found a reliable driver for that “Lost” School Bus #161 and hoped that the problems at KMMS were finally corrected has turned out to be entirely premature. And, the educational damage to the student(s) of concern in those articles have turned out to be irreparably damaged, probably for life. And NOBODY in charge at CCS/KMMS will answer their telephones.
Cleveland County Schools have just completed the first three weeks of their illegal school year. Note that it is not Robert A who determined the CCS school year calendar illegally started three weeks early, but the Attorneys from the NC State School Board and the NC Department of Public Instruction: who have said so in a letter to CCS. A warning letter informed CCS that CCS and the CCS School Board were in “Legal Peril.” Robert A has published that warning and notification letter in a previous article, so nobody can complain that when Robert A calls the Robert Queen Rogues on the School Board and the TOP CCS Administration “crooks” and “liars” Robert A is 1,000% correct. Robert A is also 1,000% correct about what he is about to tell the citizens, taxpayers, parents, and taxpayers of Cleveland County. So, PAY ATTENTION!!!
Here it is, September 5th, 2023, and CCS Schools, Including the Kings Mountain Middle School have finished its third week of operation. Legal or not, CCS has FINISHED three weeks of operation in the 2023-2024 School Year. So, let’s quickly summarize this past three week in the education of the KMMS student that Robert A has been writing all these articles about.
On the first day of school, the KMMS student arrived at KMMS on time because his caregiver drove him to school that day. From the SECOND day of School through to to this past Thursday, almost ALL of the entire first three weeks of school, the student was late to school because the KMMS School Bus #161 was either late, didn’t show up at all OR failed to stop to pick up this child as he stood on the side of the road. On each of these days the student was late to school (because of these bus problems) and missed his first class of the day (General Math) entirely and often the second class (Algebra 1) also. Along about the middle of that third week of school the student’s math teacher called the Caregiver to inform her that the student was FAILING in his math class. Is it any wonder, that after missing almost ALL of his Math Classes for almost ALL of his first three weeks in school, that the student is failing in Math??? That the child was doomed from the start to fail in math because he was NOT in his Class because of a missing school bus.
Also, folks, remember that this situation has been fully documented by calls every day from the student’s caregiver, and also reported by Robert A-in four separate articles sent directly to ALL the School Board Members, CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher, the Cleveland County Commissioners, and others. Everybody knew or had to know about this situation. All of which never once responded back to Robert A to any of my articles. This caused Robert A to file a formal report on August 29, 2023 to the Cleveland County Director of the CC Department of Social Services, Rebecca Johnson, alleging Child Neglect on the part of Cleveland County Schools. This thoroughly detailed Formal Report once redacted to take out the name and address of the student, will be provided in an upcoming article to the public. Although this report was copied to ALL the School Board, Supt. Fisher, to ALL the CC Commissioners, Representative Kelly Hastings, Speaker of the House Tim Moore, State Senator Ted Alexander and ALL the DSS Advisory Board members that whom Robert A had email addresses for. But, so far, Robert A has received ZERO confirmation that THEY had received the Official Report of Child Neglect, although a record of receipt had been requested. Robert A just figured that all Cleveland County citizens, voters, parents, and taxpayers ought to have knowledge of the fact that these uncaring people at CCS, Elected Officials and County employees noted previously have little to no time for the “little people” and children in Cleveland County. They must be spending their precious time on things like collecting cash for their re-election campaigns, receptions and dates with other people’s spouses.
After hearing from the caretaker that she had been making calls to the CCS “wheels” every day as Robert A had suggested, nobody (Stephen Fisher, Jennifer Wampler, etc.) would answer her telephone calls. So, Robert A, personally, began making calls himself. After a few attempts to reach CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher Robert A found that there were some issues with locating a VALID telephone number for Supt. Fisher. So, Robert A, knowing that Telephone Numbers are public records, began submitting Public Records Requests to CCS, the Commissioners, and several “Public Records Request” email addresses that Robert A had collected over time. The first response was from the NC Department of Justice stating that they were not the custodians for CCS telephone numbers, However, the NC DOJ suggested contacting CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher and gave his email address and 704-476-8055 his telephone number. “Eureka” was Robert A’s thought about that.
Then NC State Representative Kelly Hasting sent a message with info to contact the State Board of Education. That will be on Robert A’s “To Do List,” but about other subject matters as a telephone number for Supt Fisher has finally been obtained.
So, around the middle of last week, Robert A called Supt. Fishers number (704-476-8055) and Kelly Bridges answered the phone. I asked for Supt. Fisher and Ms. Bridges transferred me to an answering service that identified itself only as Extension 8041. Robert A left a message for Supt Fisher to please return the call to Robert A, that was never returned. A little more surfing in the hidden quarters of the CCS Website and Robert A located a directory of CCS Central Offices Telephone Numbers. “Eureka” again.
This list of CCS Central Office Telephone Extensions indicated that Supt. Fisher’s Telephone extension 8055 was listed correctly, except that that very same extension 8055 was also listed as Kelly Bridges’ Extension. So, it is always a “fun and games” runaround at the CCS Central Offices. Kelly Bridges always takes Fisher’s calls and whether she passes them on to Fisher can always be and excuse for Fisher.
But, for what others might consider a “fun and games” runaround, Robert A considers it to be an investment in motivation. So, Robert A, about the middle of last week, decided that he would call Stephen Fisher, Jennifer Wampler (Who is over the CCS School Buses as well as HR), and the Principal at KMMS every-day to report the progress (or lack thereof) regarding the easily preventable problems of school buses NOT picking up students) as well as asking CCS about what they intend to do about making up for all the classes at KMMS that were missed by the student of concern. And perhaps a bus load of students until answers are given. And Promises are Kept.
But, so far, Robert A has NO first-hand knowledge that CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher ever shows up for work at the CCS Central Offices except to show his face at School Board meetings to do the bidding of School Board Chairman Robert Queen. Or perhaps this is the other way around. Either way Robert A is personally convinced that once Robert Queen and his Waterboys Joel Shores, Rodney Fitch, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor and Walter Scott Spurling are “minimized” to ZERO power level at CCS, the matter of “fun and games” and coverup artist Supt. Stephen Fisher will be no more.
Folks, this article is a bit long and there is much more to be said. The problems and issues with this one student at KMMS are but a “flash in the pan” of today’s time. There are over 20,000 adults that are on Food Stamps today in Cleveland County because each one of THEM was failed by Cleveland County Schools, just like this KMMS student of interest. Stay tuned as YOU ALL will be introduced to those other 20,000 and how THEY also put a large burden on Cleveland County Taxpayers and will continue to do so until us Cleveland County citizens, taxpayers, and voters do what must be done to “fix” the problems with CCS’s “Education.”
Stay Tuned! Robert A has a plan!!
