In North Carolina and every other state and county in the USA, vandalism is a misdemeanor crime. So is obstruction of justice, perjury and so is conspiracy. All of the latter are FELONY Crimes.
North Carolina law states this about vandalism: “If any person shall willfully and wantonly damage, injure or destroy any real property whatsoever, either of a public or private nature, he shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.” (Note that there are similar laws and punishments for “Injury to Personal Property, “Injury to Another’s Property’’ and “Graffiti Vandalism.” All of which seem to be applicable here. So, the word vandalism will be used as a “catch-all” for all the criminal acts perpetrated at Burns High School on May 18th, 2023.) At this point in time, it is a well-established fact that vandalism occurred at Burns High School on the evening of May 18th, 2023. Even CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher has admitted in an official and recorded meeting (May 30, 2023, Special Called School Board Meeting) that the so-called “Senior Prank” morphed into damage and destruction of school property. Videos, pictures, and testimony that the perpetrators themselves posted on Facebook show the damage and destruction was wonton and willfully committed. Thus, proving beyond any doubt, that A CRIME WAS COMMITTED. And the Sheriff’s Department was NOT called immediately. Or at least in time to investigate the crime scene before it was cleaned up and denied.
So, before another word is said, THE CRIME OF VANDALISM, a Class 1 misdemeanor. was committed at Burns High School on the evening of May 18th, 2023. Aided and abetted by BHS officials who let the perpetrators into BHS common and classroom areas. This is a fact that cannot be disputed; no matter what after the fact excuses, made-up reasons, denials, accusations, threats, name-calling, hate messages, changes of the story, or general “conniption fits” instead of truthful discussion, or anything else that has been or will be offered up before the dust settles on this shameful and shameless event. With even more shameful and shameless events that follow.
Now, as is often the case, the cover-up is worse than the original crime. Instead of immediately notifying the Sheriff’s Office or the District Attorney’s Office, the BHS Principal allegedly started a cleanup/coverup effort by starting to clean up the mess overnight, disturbing a crime scene, and obstruction of justice felony crime. And then calling in the custodial staff early. Then allegedly calling CCS Superintendent Dr. Stephen Fisher early the next morning. Thusly committing the additional crimes of Conspiracy and Suborning Perjury. All Felony crimes. And, it is barely daylight by now. Less than 12 hours after the vandalism event.
Now, let’s point out something that will soon be used illegally to further this fast-developing crime spree.
It is now Friday morning, May 19th, 2023 and Superintendent Fisher knows about a Senior Prank that morphed into a vandalism crime. Or, let’s first say that Superintendent Stephen Fisher was NOT notified by his CCS Staff at any level or at Burns High School about this vandalism at BHS. Supt. Fisher is supposed to be in charge of all day-to-day functions and operations at Cleveland County Schools. If Fisher’s subordinates, who Fisher put in their places and positions, do not inform Fisher that an “event,” a crime or anything else has taken place and law enforcement has not been called, they are in a serious dereliction of duty situation and Fisher’s “judgment” (or lack of judgment) in putting them into their present positions comes immediately into question. If Fisher had indeed been notified of the situation and did NOT notify Law Enforcement AND the entire school board membership, then Fisher is in a serious dereliction of duty situation himself.
No matter which of these circumstances with Fisher may be, when teachers, students, parents, staff, etc. begin showing up at Burns High School for that next school day, see the vandalism and make their posts on Facebook and other Social Media along with the vandalism pictures and videos the perpetrators have already posted showing their destructive vandalism on Facebook and other Social Media. Now all these posts are going out to the general public and members of the public start calling CCS School Board Members. So what are the Cleveland County School Board Members supposed to do?? What did we citizens, taxpayers and voters in Cleveland County elect them to do?? The correct answer to that last question is we elected them and expect them to oversee Supt. Fisher in the operations of Cleveland County School in everything that CCS does. If the “judgment” and job performance of Superintendent Stephen Fisher to independently verify and report to the School Board, the whole school board-all nine members, with factual information comes into question, we expect the School Board, every one of them, to independently verify the circumstances and situations such that an independent assessment from each and every CCS School Board Member is made. And Superintendent Stephen Fisher and everybody else are handled appropriately.
At this point in the Burns High School vandalism assessment by the School Board Members themselves is 100% vital to the proper operation of the Cleveland County Schools. That each School Board Member gather ALL the information possible and are certainly NOT to believe everything that Superintendent Fisher might tell them at this point. Especially since Superintendent Fisher’s own judgment and performance and his immediate staff’s judgment and performance are in question. And, all the while, conflicting information is coming out from all sides at CCS as well as from the School Board/.
So, let’s recap again. From the start to before noon on May 19th, 2023.
- Fact: A Vandalism Crime occurred at Burns High School in the evening hours of May 18th, 2023.
- Fact: The perpetrators are mostly BHS graduating Seniors let into BHS by the BHS Principal.
- Fact: videos, pictures, and other information of the Crime Scene are posted on Facebook and other social media by perpetrators, parents, other students, and others that show BHS vandalized and in total disarray, as BHS opens that next morning.
- Fact: Videos, pictures, and other information of the BHS crime are continually being posted.
- Fact: Teachers are recruited into the cleanup effort of BHS, including their own classrooms and desks-and are unavailable for teaching or whatever was planned for that day. One Full day of “education” was lost that day (May 19th, 2023 for ALL of the BHS students.
- Fact: Superintendent Stephen Fisher has or should have been, by now, notified of the crime, situation, and circumstances.
- Fact: Superintendent Stephen Fisher did NOT arrive at the crime scene himself until later that Friday afternoon of May 19th, 2023 after the “mess” is mostly cleaned up. Then reports to the School Board that he didn’t see any “problems.”
Conclusion Number 1. After noon on May 19, 2023, any “obligation” for any school board member to report anything about the BHS vandalism crime directly and exclusively to Stephen Fisher is null and void because:
- Superintendent Stephen Fisher already knows or should have known by then all facts and circumstances regarding the vandalism situation at BHS.
- All acts and actions of Superintendent Stephen Fisher to deny or minimize the crime were now all suspect. For a CCS School Board Member to take anything Superintendent Fisher reported or stated as 100% fact and truth without independent verification would be reckless and foolish.
- All reports from Stephen Fisher are completely different from what the pictures of the vandalism crime at BHS clearly show.
- Due to similar vandalism, and media (news and TV News) reports of arrests at schools in Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, and possibly other NC counties, this difference in the CCS handling of the same situation is troubling and concerning. And reeks of an obvious criminal coverup and conspiracy by high-level CCS officials.
- At this point, at the end of the workday, Friday, May 19th, 2023, no comments, news releases, discussions, interviews or any information of any sort by any CCS School Board member regarding the crime of vandalism at Burns High School has been released to the public.
However, with all the stuff on Facebook and elsewhere about the vandalism at Burns High School, Robert A was beginning to smell a rat. Lots of rats. Plus, a skunk or two. Also, since Robert A has attended CCS School Board meetings for close to 12 years now, Robert A has developed a keen “Bullshit Detector” regarding the CCS School Board and can predict their future short-term actions with a high level of precision. Up to the date of this article regarding the Burns High School vandalism scandal, Robert A’s accuracy is approaching 100%. So, on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 Robert A began his first article about the “Mischief” at Burns High School. This first article was finished late Saturday Evening and officially published online in the “wee” hours of Sunday Morning, May 21, 2023. Within just a few hours a reader, (a parent of a BHS student) had responded to that published article. Within a very short period of time, Robert A received a Sunshine Report from Cleveland County Schools that a Special Called Meeting of the CCS School Board was scheduled for that very next day-Monday, May 22, 2023, 11:30 AM.
This mischief at BHS and the immediate calling of a Special Called School Board Meeting indicated to Robert A that this meeting was very likely to have been called over the “mischief” at Burns High School. The rapid response of the reader as previously noted above supported Robert A’s initial “I smell a rat” feeling. So, Robert A immediately drafted and published a second article. All were published and distributed BEFORE that CCS School Board Special Called Meeting.
Robert A had himself just published the very first word from any recognized media source regarding the Mischief (now known to be a criminal vandalism act) at Burns High School). These two articles were both published and copies were sent to all School Board Members, Supt. Fisher and the world about 12 hours before this initial Special Called School Board Meeting.
Recap: Robert A had published two articles to the world the day before the CCS’s FIRST Special Called School Board Meeting (which turned out to be entirely a closed session). At this point, Monday, May 22, 2023, NO Press Releases, news reports, or anything else by other news media and any statements by any School Board members had been released to the general public. Only Robert A had alerted the world of the mischief at Burns High School.
Folks, this article is getting a bit long, so we will finish up in later articles over this weekend. But, remember this, Robert A and Facebook reports from parents, perps, etc. had already officially informed the WORLD of the Mischief at Burns High School prior to anything from any School Board member. Anything any School Board Member such as Ronnie Grigg and Danny Blanton might say later about the mischief at Burns High School was “Old News” that was previously published and already known to the public. INCLUDING CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher. New information and pictures, videos, etc., from the perps, were still coming in for all to see.
Stay tuned folks. The coverup hoax and scandal conjured up by CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher, Chairman Robert Queen, Members Joel Shores, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor, Rodney Fitch, and Walter Spurling is about to be reported. In all its gore, lies, and coverup contrived by the School Board lawyers. Again, Stay tuned. The 2024 School Board Elections are right around the corner.
