Robert A, upon request, is holding these additional plans confidential for the present. The fact that these common sense plans exist is newsworthy and deserves to be mentioned.
As previously noted, For the first time in Cleveland County School’s recorded history has an individual School Board Member, Ronnie Grigg, taken it upon himself as a Citizen to use his lawful Constitutional Rights of Free Speech to come up with an innovative, smart, common sense approach to multi-task problem solving with a fiduciary responsibility to produce a “PLAN’” and then go straight through a staid, bureaucratic and corrupt school board led by a self-serving, self-declared aristocratic and delusional chairman, directly to the Cleveland County Commissioners (who control the funding) and to the citizens of Cleveland County. Ronnie Grigg is a Hero in this endeavor and we all should be proud of this historic “Plan” that Mr. Grigg has proposed to the Commissioners and the people of Cleveland County
Robert A has, upon information and belief, good reason to believe that Mr. Grigg has additional common-sense and bold plans that are intrinsically necessary to bring Cleveland County Schools out of the “educational disaster” that CCS has found itself in. But from the dirty politics the Rogue Republicans bestowed upon Mr. Grigg and Danny Blanton in the 2022 School Board Elections, it may be politically prudent to take “baby steps” until the Citizens of Cleveland County come around to the point that they DEMAND the Commissioners and School Board do what is right and proper for education as well as what is financially responsible.
Robert A has no fear of the Rogue Republicans and their dirty tricks. In fact, Robert A believes the Rogue Republicans will be acting up just as bad in the 2024 Elections as they did in 2022. Especially since both the School Board and Commissioner’s elections will be for the majority of positions on both boards. And, since Robert A is considering entering the 2024 elections for the Commissioner Board and the major financial problem facing taxpayers is how to pay for maintaining and eventually replacing CCS’s aging fleet of old, old schools over the next 25 years is a problem that has to be reckoned with NOW. And no later than 2024.
Beside the point that Robert A has already concluded some time ago what some of the necessary changes at CCS are and the ways that the Commissioners can enforce those changes upon the School Board in 2025, it would be nice for our children if the School Board themselves would begin to see the light in 2023. So, in the meantime, it suits Robert A just fine to offer his help, in any way possible and with the assistance of other citizens, taxpayers and parents, help Ronnie Grigg and others develop and implement better plans for the future of CCS. CCS is so far behind right now, having the commissioners come-in in 2025 is an unnecessary hurdle and delay in the proper education of our children.
So, folks; Let’s see a full house of people willing to help plan and help implement necessary changes at the upcoming School Board meetings. Independent people not there as CCS “plants” whose only inputs will be that everything is already “hunky-dory so there is no need for parental involvement. Just say NOOOooo! to that kind of sneaky assistance. Problem solving people are what is needed. Not “plants.” We need Oak Trees, not Dandelions, coming to School Board meetings. See ya there at the next meeting.
