Editor’s Note: The following is unverified and will be called gossip. However, Robert A has reason to believe these reports are true.

The Part 1 report regarding a Shelby High School Football Player has caused additional information to be released. The updated report goes like this: (Note: The added information is bolded for your convenience.)

There were TWO Shelby High School STAR Football players involved with selling “gummies” laced with marijuana or some other illegal substance to other football players and other students at Shelby High School. Allegedly the City of Shelby’s Police Department had been shielding the Star Football Players from prosecution. Then other law enforcement became involved and began prosecution. Upon hearing of the prosecution, the Head Coach of the Shelby High School Football team took it upon himself to immediately “throw” the two Star players off the team. Playing without the two STAR players, the SHS Football team lost to Burns and were eliminated from the playoffs.

Editor’s Note 2: The Shelby High School Head Football Coach is to be applauded for taking the action that he was reported to have taken. It is unfortunate for the two STAR players that they saw fit to get involved with selling drugs. This has probably cost them the opportunity to get a collage football scholarship. And, maybe some jail time. However, lives may end up being saved should the drug dealing football players started lacing their “gummies” with fentanyl.

Editor’s Note 3: One has to wonder about the City of Shelby’s SPD’s alleged cover-up. As well as the city’s refusal to “partner” with Mr. Willie Green in his “Sports Complex” proposals. It is certainly very, very likely that these two Star Football Players would have ended up in one of Willie Green’s programs at an earlier age had the City of Shelby not have been so stupid. Who knows how many more juveniles in Shelby that are missing the opportunities offered by Mr. Green will go down the same path as these two STAR football players? As well as the victim of the gang style killing down on Logan Street, who was also reported to have been a star athlete. How many dead bodies and ruined young lives will it take for the City of Shelby and Cleveland County to wake up and smell the Roses???
