Editor’s Note: The following is unverified and will be called Gossip. However, Robert A has reason to believe these reports are 100% true.

1.An unidentified Shelby High School football player was selling “gummies” laced with marijuana or some other illegal drug to fellow football players. Cleveland County Law Enforcement searched the football players residents and found many such “gummies.” The whole Shelby High School football team was disqualified from participating in recent football playoffs. CCS has allegedly covered up this incident, disqualification and arrest.

Note that a search of electronic news showed too many “hits” regarding Shelby, drugs and schools to positively verify this particular report. If there is information available to verify or deny this report, please contact Robert A. Your identity will be protected.

2.A “Special” Called meeting of the Cleveland County Commissioners is to be held at 8:00AM Monday, December 5, 2022 for the purpose of Approving a “Bond” for Cleveland County Sheriff Alan Norman. Investigation indicates that this Bond is required to be in effect for a Sheriff to perform his duties as a Sheriff in North Carolina.

For this to require a “Special” Called Commissioner’s Meeting indicates that somebody, somewhere in the Cleveland County Government, under either the Sheriff or the County Manager/Commissioners, has failed to do what was necessary for the Commissioners to approve the Sheriff’s Bond during a regular Commissioner’s Meeting.

As the Cleveland County Manager regularly states that his team is performance oriented, blame for this emergency meeting must rise to the top of the Sheriff’s Office and/or the Commissioner’s Chairman. Sheriff Alan Norman and/or Kevin S. Gordon. It is well known that Commissioner Kevin Gordon’s emphasis has been on raising sales taxes and property revaluation increases along with passing Nuisance Ordinances that would allow Gordon to have his neighbors punished for their noisy Memorial Day weekend party. As well as requiring an expensive permit for a person to hold an “Event” at his own home. See the attached video of Commissioner Chairman Kevin Gordon raising these issues.
