Kudus to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department!!!

Three to four Sheriff’s Deputies in marked police vehicles, red lights and all, made short work of the speeders that like to zoom through Fallston like it is just a wide spot in the road and the speed limit signs are meaningless. And during school traffic at that. Everybody that was even thinking about speeding slowed down to mostly below the speed limit. Those that didn’t hit their brakes in time were pulled over. And from appearances (frowns on the faces of the pulled-over speeders), as Robert A walked by on the sidewalk on the 974th mile of his 2022 Goal of 1,000 miles, there were speeding tickets being handed out.

Now, if the Deputies would “work” that stretch in Fallston on Highway 18 between the Stop Light and Jim Cline Road, the 18-wheelers would get their messages too. The only thing is don’t tell Commissioner Chairman Kevin “Mad Dog” Gordon. Otherwise, he will have the Sheriff’s Department out there every hour of every day. Handing out speeding tickets like they were tax bills. Hot off the press. And Fallston will be one big traffic jam. Every morning between 9 and 11 AM. And every evening between 2 and 6 PM.

But the good side might be that we Cleveland County voters will not have to be voting AGAINST another Mad Dog Sales Tax increase every time we turn around. But don’t remind Kevin Gordon of his secret Political Action Committee to promote a sales tax/fire tax increase. If you do, be prepared for Mad Dog to jump down your throat and call you a liar. Even though Kevin Gordon’s Cherryville mailing address was the address on the PAC application records. And, Mad Dog’s Sales tax/Fire tax increase campaign signs were all over Cleveland County.

Call or email Kevin Gordon about that. His telephone number and email address are as follows:
