School Board Member and Candidate for Reelection Dr. Danny Blanton stood tall and alone for the taxpayers at the October 10, 2022 School Board Meeting. Three times Blanton voted NO in 8-1 votes. Even as Blanton was being bullied and attacked by the Rogue Republicans as the Democrat School Board members (also candidates for reelection) stood by doing noting but accepting the Dirty Tricks by the Rogue Republicans that would help them with their own chances in the 2022 School Board Elections.
The three crucial votes where Danny Blanton voted NO to protect the best interests of taxpayers were as follows: NONE of these items were in the best interest of Cleveland County taxpayers, but were trotted out by CCS School Board Chairman Robert “Luke” Queen in an attempt to bully Danny Blanton into voting FOR these items. Or be falsely accused of being against the children of Cleveland County. Robert A predicted the first two dirty tricks in his last article. This third secret item was not expected by Robert A. But Danny Blanton stood tall once again. Three times a HERO!!
- The $24,404,000 single bid HVAC project that was not bid competitively, but sole sourced to a single bidder favored by CCS. Note that competitively bid requirements were circumvented by corruptly manipulating the Request for Quotations process such that other potential bidders refused to submit a bid on this project.
- The Child nutrition sale of commercial top-quality food preparation and food serving equipment as surplus. Bringing in only pennies on the dollar of the real value.
- A surprise extension of CCS Superintendent Stephen Fishers employment contract through June 30, 2026.
