Editor’s Note: Robert A received this information this very day, Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Notice that this event, the 2022 CCS School Board Candidates Forum is open to the public. It is also the first Candidate’s Forum held in Upper Cleveland County since who know when? And last, but not least, this is an excellent opportunity for most of us to again see the inside of the old Stamey Store since it has been renovated into the Stamey Event Center. Nooobody in Upper Cleveland would want to miss this opportunity. Certainly not Robert A. Who, over the past 70+ years, has been inside the old Stamey Story at least a thousand times. Maybe two thousand times.
Notice that the doors are open to the public at 6:00PM and the Forum begins at 7:00PM. Plenty of time to look around and socialize with friends and neighbors prior to the serious business at hand. Determining who will be the best candidates to vote into the Cleveland County Board of Education. Remember there are eight candidates, four Democrats and four Republicans, running for four open seats on the CCS School Board. More on this in other articles.
It is high time that Upper Cleveland County residents turn out in record numbers to make our voices heard by those who represents us. Perhaps this will be a good time to tell ALL of these eight candidates that Upper Cleveland is tired of being left out of everything. Same with the Cleveland County Commissioners who want to raise our property taxes and sales taxes again and again. No matter how many times we say NO to Sales Tax referendums. As we prepare to once again vote AGAINST the sales tax increase referendum in the 2022 elections.

Hello,
I am writing to formally invite you to the 2022 Cleveland County School Board Candidate Forum. The forum will be open to the public and held at the Historic Stamey Event Center in Fallston, North Carolina on September 27th. The event will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, but candidates are encouraged to arrive at least half an hour early. Doors will open for the event at 6:00 PM. A flyer for the event is included. If you’re up for election, a letter has been mailed to you as well and should be arriving by the end of the week.
Questions will be curated beforehand with input from the general public and representatives of The Highlander and Parents Against Bullying NC.
