Folks, my experience with School Board Member Danny Blanton is Mr. Blanton likes to be precise in what he says and does. Make sure everything is done exactly right and for the right reasons. Perhaps that is why Robert Queen and his band of Rogue Republicans are trying to get rid of Danny Blanton from the CCS School Board. So, when my phone rings at 8:28 this morning, I figure it is Danny Blanton calling about my latest article I put out late last night.
Indeed, it WAS Danny Blanton calling. Danny says Robert A. You made two mistakes in your article. You said that I picked up the application for my granddaughter. My Granddaughter picked up the application. AND, YOU spelled ONE word (out of 3,579 words) wrong. This article corrects MY mistake about who picked up the job application. I am still looking for that misspelled word. My spell-check says no words are misspelled.
This is the paragraph in question in its original form:
Then the Shelby Daily Liar brings up something about Blanton’s granddaughter not getting a job she had applied for. This is what Danny Blanton told ME about that:
This is exactly what happened. ” My Granddaughter was working at CCS as a teacher’s aide, although she had the credentials for a full teacher’s pay. She was working on a Master’s degree and wanted to get that behind her before she applied for a full teacher’s job. Then Superintendent Stephen Fisher approached me, telling me that he had been observing my granddaughter and she was doing a very good job. That I should go get an application for this certain job, have my granddaughter fill it out and send it to so and so. So, I did. My granddaughter filled out the application and sent it in as Fisher had suggested. And then didn’t get the job. Next thing I know is I am being accused of threatening somebody because my granddaughter didn’t get the job she had applied for. I never threatened anybody and I believe this was all a big setup.”

Next thing I know is I (Danny Blanton) am being accused of threatening somebody because my granddaughter didn’t get the job she had applied for. I (Danny Blanton) never threatened anybody and I believe this was all a big setup.”

The Shelby Daily Liar stated that Superintendent “Fisher did not reply to a request for a comment on Blanton’s account.” Well hey Shelby Daily Liar, why did you print anything about the defamatory allegation in the first place??? A defamatory allegation made by the already proven liar, Robert Queen. Who didn’t have personal knowledge himself. A Defamatory allegation that would not stand up for two seconds in a REAL Court of law. (Which is where this “Bull-ony” might eventually end up.)
Mr. Blanton, I also believe this was a setup that should be investigated. Even if I have to do the investigation MYSELF.
Also, from my understanding of Mr. Blanton during this morning’s call, a lawyer is being contacted in regard as to what can be done with such defamatory statements contained in Robert “Luke” Queen’s phony letter, statements made by Supt. Fisher and others in Robert Queen’s phony letter and to the Shelby Daily Liar, and the Shelby Daily Liar itself. I would NOT want to be in that crowd’s shoes when they’re sitting in the Courtroom with a jury in the box!!
