In regard to my most recent article titled Rogue Republicans are Traitors to the NC and CC Republican Party, I received a telephone call from School Board member Rodney Fitch at 3:18 PM today (April 29, 2022). Mr. Fitch graciously informed me that I had incorrectly named him as a member of the Cleveland County Republican Party Executive Committee, when, in fact, he was NOT a member of that often-infamous Committee.
I replied to Mr. Fitch that I thought that he, being an elected official in Cleveland County and a Republican, was automatically a member of that Committee. “No” says Mr. Fitch. “By being an elected official, I AM eligible, without a question, to become a member of the Executive Committee, but only if I pay $100 membership fee. Which I did NOT pay.”
I told Mr. Fitch that I did make a mistake then and that I would gladly make an immediate correction. Which I have already done. Mr. Fitch’s name has been removed from the published article and this notice is sent to make a published acknowledgment that Mr. Fitch’s is NOT a member of the CC Republican Party Executive Committee. Which I feel most people in Cleveland County will be glad to hear.
Actually, I was glad to hear it too. And I was also glad to be able to make this correction.
And, there is more.
I also asked Mr. Fitch if he was a part of those that are scheming to get rid of Danny Blanton from the School Board? Mr. Fitch said that he was not a part of that. That Danny Blanton was a friend of his and a fellow Republican. That if he allowed a yard sign from any Republican in his yard, he would allow all seven school board candidates to put yard signs in his yard.
Well folks, Fair is Fair. Again, I made a correction to a mistake I made and was glad to do so. I would certainly welcome the opportunity to do this again when anything I write is not entirely correct.
