Folks, there are major lawsuits brought about because rogue DSS agencies across the state of North Carolina have been doing lots of bad things to lots of people. At this very minute Cherokee County, high in the mountains, and New Hanover County down by the Atlantic Ocean have multi-million-dollar jury awards against them with dozens more similar cases waiting to be tried. The liability insurers for Cherokee and New Hanover counties are refusing to pay off the jury awards because of official and long-term neglect by county officials to provide oversight to the county DSS. Now Cherokee County and New Hanover Counties, both facing bankruptcies are suing their insurance companies. Trying to get somebody else to have to pay for the damages that they have done to others.
I have been sitting on this information, knowing that Cleveland County is in exactly the same position, but waiting for the proper time to tell the story. Tonight (March 7, 2022, at 7:30 PM) an investigative report by WBTV-3 in Charlotte has told the story. Not about Cherokee County (although that county and others were mentioned) or New Hanover County-but Cleveland County. Cleveland County. Cleveland County was portrayed as a county of fools and rightly so.
