Folks, gossip reports say that the Cleveland County School Board, especially Chairman Robert “Luke” Queen, are totally PO’d (short for pissed-off) because word of them shutting down a number of CCS Elementary Schools at the January 10th, 2022 School Board meeting has leaked out to the public. The disclosure of these highly secret plans has them running around like “chickens with their heads cut off” trying to find out how their stupid schemes got leaked out, to begin with. And, I ain’t about to be a’ telling who told ME. But I recommend every parent of elementary school-aged students call CCS and Luke Queen and ask how such an “Inside, Outside, Upside Down” and “half-baked” plan got this far, to begin with.
But, first, let’s look at some indisputable facts:
Elementary School age is, in this day and time, about 4 to nine years old. Way too young to stick a child on a school bus, alone, for 2 or more hours every day.
Children learn to read up to and thru the third grade. After the third-grade children read to learn. Screwing up a child’s elementary school education screws up the child’s education for life. (Just imagine the thousands of kids’ education the COVID-related school shutdowns have already ruined right here in Cleveland County.)
Several smaller, community-based elementary schools are more conducive to the age appropriateness of a child’s education than a single large elementary school where kids are bussed in from everywhere. Far and wide everywhere.
Just considering these three simple and undisputed facts just noted, it is 1,000% obvious that the nitwits on the school board foolishly “messing” with closing 4 or 5 CCS Elementary Schools will surely destroy the lifetime potential of thousands of Cleveland County Children. And, the pompous-ass Luke Queen and his sycophants, as shown by their arrogance and stupidity, apparently don’t give a whit about what you, me, and everybody else says and thinks. So, why should they tell us anything, to begin with? This must be the basis of their secret decision-making protocols.
So, we will see you at January 10, 2022, School Board Meeting. Get there early and sign up to speak. Better yet, demand that Luke Queen put you on the agenda so you won’t be cut off at three minutes.
I would urge the Inside, Outside, Upside Down School Board nit-wits to watch the following video. Maybe they will learn something. Especially if they let the video continue through to the Bike Riding Lesson story. It is always better to NOT have to learn painful lessons the hard way. And, it would be the children whose education is minimalized who would eventually pay the price for any stupid decision made by the school board this coming Monday night. Or at any other School Board meeting.
But, since this present School Board has shown such disregard for Open Meeting laws and “Sunshine Laws,” I would say that maybe a more drastic solution to this Inside, Outside, Upside Down School Board’s anti-citizen approach to government would, at this point, be more in order. Something like removing them from the office. So, Hey Tim Moore, Kelly Hastings, and Ted Alexander. We, the Citizens of Cleveland County want YOU, our elected representatives to the North Carolina General Assembly, to promulgate immediately laws that will allow citizens, under circumstances such as this, to remove or “recall” elected officials who have “gone rogue” on the citizens that elected them. If the Left-Coast State of California has such laws, we want them too. Three more years of Luke Queen and his band of nit-wits on the school board will do too much damage to our children’s education not to take such actions.
