Commissioners, sometimes things just don’t work out. Electing Robert “Like” Queen to the Cleveland County School Board has turned out to be a disaster and it will take some time to get rid of Luke from that position.

Getting rid of Luke Queen from the Cleveland Community College Board of Trustees is another matter. Luke’s term there runs out at the end of this month-June 30th to be exact. All that has to be done there is just appoint someone else, and Luke Queen is gone. And, so is Luke’s connections to CCC BoTs Wes Westmoreland, Dennis Bailey and Rev. Dr. M. Lamont Littlejohn, Johnny Hutchins and perhaps others that have been an unsavory influence on Luke Queen. Those folks, in time, also need to find themselves replaced as their terms run out. Or be forced to resign.

Too many scandals, problems and issues at Cleveland Community College have not adequately been resolved. Same with the Cleveland County Schools. Before COVID, During COVID and after COVID. Existing problems are never fixed or only half fixed. New problems crop up on a regular basis and they too don’t get fixed. Only swept under the rug.

Commissioners, Robert “Luke” Queen has indeed turned out to be a disaster at CCS. It is very unlikely that he will be re-elected as the Chairman this December, nor be re-elected in 2024; if he manages to last that long. To reappoint Luke to the CCC BoTs on top of your big tax increase that will show up on the citizens property tax bills that come out at the end of July, will surely convince the voters that YOU don’t need to be re-elected when YOUR terns run out. Doug Bridges and Deb Hardin in 2022. Johnny Hutchins, Ronnie Whetstine and Kevin Gordon in 2024.

Commissioners, do yourself a favor. Do all of us Taxpayers. Parents and Citizens a favor too. Dump Robert “Luke” Queen off the CCC Board of Trustees Monday night and urge Luke to resign off the CCS School Board too. The sooner the better.

PS: If you don’t know who to appoint to replace Luke, I have a recommendation. And, it is NOT ME! But her initials are G.B. I suggest YOU call her and beg her to take this appointment.
