I received a shocking report late last night from trusted sources that 2020 Commissioner Candidate Tommy McNeilly has withdrawn from the Commissioners race in the 2020 Elections and that former Democrat Commissioner Eddie, “Massa Eddie” Holbrook was going to be appointed by the Cleveland County Republican Party Executive Committee to fill the vacancy.
This was disappointing news as Tommy McNeilly, from Casar, was the only candidate from Upper Cleveland County. A region of the County that always is under-represented in county government in every agency and at every level. I was also disappointed that the CC Republican Executive Party was not considering Dennis Davis or Robbie Morgan to replace McNeilly as they did have the gumption to file and run in the Republican Party 2020 Primary Election. And received many votes from the public.
It must also be noted that the only Democrat who signed up to run for Commissioner in the 2020 elections, Shaun Murphy, according to gossip is a black homosexual man living with a white homosexual man near Kings Mountain. Ordinarily speaking, such a person would have ZERO chances of winning election to any elected office in Cleveland County. Therefore, the Republican Candidates: Ronnie Whetstine, Johnny Hutchins and now Eddie Holbrook would be shoo-in winners in the Commissioner’s race in the 2020 Elections.
I also heard that outgoing Commissioner Susan Allen has stated to the Republican Executive Committee that she would accept the nomination “if you can’t find anybody else.”
From all the crooked stuff coming out of the Cleveland county Republican Party Executive Committee, I am inclined to recommend that voter single-shot vote for Shawn Murphy for Commissioner in November. As sad as it seems, I would have to believe that Shawn Murphy was more honest and honorable than Johnny Hutchins, Ronnie Whetstine, Eddie Holbrook and Susan Allen all put together.
Now, that is the gossip and arguendo. Contact with the Cleveland County Board of Elections has confirmed that Tommy McNeilly has indeed submitted a letter of “withdrawal” as a candidate for the 2020 Cleveland county Commissioner’s race. They have also confirmed that the CC Republican Party Executive Committee does indeed have the authority to appoint a replacement for Tommy McNeilly’s candidacy. They have confirmed that Eddie, “Massa Eddie” Holbrook, a lifelong Democrat, has indeed switched to the Republican Party. They, at my request, are searching the election laws to determine whether or not Massa Eddie switched his Party designation in time to qualify for this vacancy as a Republican. Otherwise Commissioner Susan Allen may end up with the appointment.
What a shame!!! Four more years of oppression, lies and financial “crimes” from Commissioners Johnny Hutchins, Ronnie Whetstine, Eddie Holbrook or Susan Allen.
But folks, I have no pity on you. I told you so a long time ago and you paid no attention. You folks, especially you folks in Upper Cleveland County, will be getting the county government that YOU deserve. Kings Mountain and Shelby get everything and you get nothing. Nothing except for paying the lion’s share of the bill.
