I am going to start this article off by telling it like it is. Don’t believe a word I say, read the court documents that are attached for yourself. If you are a Shelby taxpayer, why do you put up with such foolishness from your elected officials, much less their hired hand, City Manager Rick Howell.

Folks, the City of Shelby’s malicious vendetta against former NFL Football Player and twice Superbowl winner Willie Green is starting to come to a head. The vendetta against Mr. Green has caused a number of lawsuits and much legal expense for Mr. Green, apparently because of various malicious actions by the City of Shelby. City Manager Rick Howell appears to be the first of many lawsuits that will soon to be decided in a Court Hearing that will be forthcoming to respond to Mr. Green’s Motion for a Default Judgement against Rick Howell individually.

The Motion for a Default Judgement was served on Rick Howell this past Friday because Howell has continually refused to follow the law in filing his court paperwork on time. Just let you and me not file our paperwork or not show up in Court and see what happens. We would be on the inside of the jail looking out. No questions asked!!! Also, consider this, If the Shelby City Council has any influence on a judge to let Rick Howell get off, how could a Judge defend his actions when Rick Howell has shown just as much contempt for the Judicial system as Howell has shown for Mr. Green??? If anything, the judge in this case should find Rick Howell also in Contempt of Court and put him in jail. Along with confiscating Rick Howell’s house and property as a partial payment for what Howell owes Mr. Green.

But that is what lawsuits are all about. To punish those that need punishment. Rick Howell, according to gossip on the street, has done many vile things to lots of people. This is Mr. Green’s lawsuit and Mr. Green intends to collect from Rick Howell for the many bad things and damages that Rick Howell has done to him. That is exactly what lawsuits are all about. To teach people who do wrong a lesson-Not to do wrong any more. Kinda like problem child, Rick Howell, finally getting a well-deserved “spanking.” Mayor Stan Anthony And Councilperson Violet Dukes will likely be getting their well-deserved “spanking” in due time. (I bet they court documents in accordance with the law.)

As for the rest of the so-called “leadership” of the City of Shelby, this Rich Howell situation and their refusal to rein in Rick Howell may b e their downfall to. As well as it should be. And it also should be that the pain b e felt by the taxpayers and voters in the City of Shelby. You elected those who are supposed to be watching over what goes on in your town. You are already paying Rick Howell’s lawyer bills. YOU deserve to have to pay Rick Howell’s default judgement too. YOU have done wrong by not overseeing your elected officials who have been doing wrong.

I am glad I am NOT a resident of Shelby and have to put up with the shenanigans in Shelby. However, there appear to be plenty of shenanigans to go around. And more lawsuits too. The Commissioners, School Board, DSS, and Cleveland Community College. Folks, stay tuned. I am sure there is more coming out as we speak.
