Editor’s Note: I call this report gossip because the source does not want to be identified. However, reports from this source has always turned out to be true.
My sources report, that since my last article on this topic, the Federated Republican Women officials in Raleigh have set the present Cleveland County Republican Party Chairman Dennis Bailey straight. That the WRCC women Republicans do not report to the CC Republican Party,
owe them no allegiance or any kind of documents-including financials. That should have been the end of it.
But Noooo!!! Bailey or Bailey sycophants have enlisted their wives and other Republican women who are WRCC members to stir up trouble within WRoCC. Bad trouble at the WRCC meeting last week causing a scene in front of couple of visiting Republican women who came to the meeting with the intent of joining.
All this is just petty and useless stuff. Obviously for the purpose of discouraging the independence of WRoCC as well as their initiative to do things to help get rank and file Republican candidates elected to local political office.
But that is not something Dennis Bailey invented all by himself. The Cleveland County republican Party has always been that way. They have a legacy of do-nothingness ever since the days when there was no elected Republicans in office in Cleveland County. Not that long ago. And the leaders then were used to doing nothing and now try to discourage others who want to do something from actually doing anything effective. That is why there are so many RINOs in the Cleveland County Republican Party.
Which brings me to the second part of the report I received.
The gossip is three of the top-level Republicans want to get rid of the Mayor of Shelby-Stan Anthony. But the only Republican to sign up to run for that office, Tanzy Wallace, is a black woman. The filing period is now over and the high-level political figuring is revving up on what to do about that. What to do considering the “big picture” of things as some like to say. I call that “Plantation Politics.”
The only ethical thing for the CC Republican Party to do is support Tanzy Wallace for the Mayor of Shelby. The only other ethical thing to do is run a write-in Republican Candidate that is more qualified than Tanzy Wallace.
The list of unethical things that are possible to do is longer. Play the race-card and vote for Stan Anthony. Figure out a way to run Tanzy Wallace out of the race for Mayor of Shelby. Write-in a white candidate, male or female, whether qualified or not–Like Eddie Holbrook. Etc.
