Parents I need this shared to all parents in the Cleveland County School District, I received this from a concerned parent this morning. This is going to affect Kings Mountain, Shelby and the north end of the County. Thank you for getting the word out. This is supposedly to be voted on at our next school board meeting parents should have a say so since it’s affecting their children and where they will be transferred to.

Hey, have you heard anything about the school board wanting to close 4 or 5 elementary schools in the county? At least 2 in KM-East & West. Only one I heard in Shelby is Graham but they’re wanting to close like 2-3 in Shelby. Heard they’re going to discuss at the next school board meeting.

Truth Be Told – Cleveland County
Rumor has it a group of parents are joining forces to file a federal class action suit against the Cleveland County School System including several individual administrative staff members, teachers and board members. Supposedly, the group is in the process of retaining a high-powered Charlotte law firm specializing in federal discrimination suits. The rumor is the suit will allege a history of systemic bullying, racial, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation and special needs discrimination and even physical assaults, carried out by students, teachers and administrators. It is alleged that teachers, administrators and board members were not only fully aware and took no corrective actions, in many cases teachers and administrators tried to cover it up. Anyone that has now, had before or knows others that have or had children that have been bullied, discriminated against or assaulted because of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or special needs status, regardless of how long it has been, please contact Truth Be Told – Cleveland County (on Facebook) so your information can be passed to the appropriate parties.
Editor’s Note II: I don’t know who these other concerned folks are, but I have started a list of Things to DO in 2022 that includes a potential lawsuit against Cleveland County Schools that could include these very same things, plus a number of other things. But, the more the merrier. More concerned parents. More concerned taxpayers. More concerned people in general. And, at the rate these fool school board members age going, we had better be quick about it to SAVE what is left of Cleveland County Schools.
