This November 13, 2024 CCS School Board’s Public Business Meeting started out well enough. Actually, very well. The Pledge of Allegiance and a rousing Prayer by the Rev. Melvin Clark of the Washington Missionary Baptist Church. Also, the front three rows, center, where Robert A usually sits, was Reserved for the Kings Mountain High School’s State Championship Girls Volleyball Team.
Unlike another School Board Meeting about six months ago, when another group of High School students, boys and girls alike, were falsely recognized in a deception that is still an ongoing and salacious scandal. A scandal that will not end until The CCS School Board is cleansed of its six Rogue Republicans: Robert Queen, Joel Shores, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor, Rodney Fitch, and Walter Scott Spurling. Those young women in that previous meeting were dressed in very short, skin-tight shorts where the bottom of the shorts was closer to the girl’s navel than to her knees.
In a huge contrast, these Kings Mountain High School Girls Volleyball Championship team members, comprised of all biological girls, which is sometimes a rarity in this day and time, were all dressed like they were ready to go to Church on a Sunday Morning. ALL the girls wore conservative dresses and accessories and were perfectly groomed. Their demeanors were perfect and totally appropriate for attendance at this governmental meeting. The team’s spokesperson was also dressed in a coat and tie as he described the come-from-behind wins and the associated poise and determination that propelled these young women to the final victory in the State Girl Volleyball championship.
All in all, this KMHS Girls Volleyball Championship Team, to a person, was a credit to their school, a credit to their community, a credit to Cleveland County Schools, and certainly a credit to their own selves and their families. They worked hard, stayed on course, survived adversity, and in the end, won fairly and honestly. Kudus to the KMHS Girls Volleyball Team.
It might have been that this meeting should have ended immediately after these impressive young women exited the CCS Central Services Auditorium. As almost every item on the agenda, after this recognition, turned into chaos, dissension, discord, conflict, potentially illegal acts, unmitigated controversy, and wasted tax-dollar$ that have put many Facebook pages abuzz.
However, Robert A was the first in line, during Citizens Participation, to point out just a few of the many errors of the CCS School Board at this November 13, 2023 Meeting during his only three minutes allowed during the Public Participation section at the very end of the meeting. Three minutes was not enough time to even make a dent in the long list of improper actions, but the following link shows that Robert A did his best to identify the worst items, in the name of constructive criticism. Of course, the “School Board Six” paid Robert A no attention. Or anybody else who points out problems or issues that need to be improved.

- The improper and incompetent way the School Board selects architects for construction projects.
- A budget process that only looks at how much money CCS was given to spend the previous year and then asks for more funding for the next year. And, NOT OINE WORD, EVER, about how much it actually costs to run CCS.
Then Robert A’s time ran out!
Note that sometimes speakers at School Board Meetings trip their own selves up with silly comments. The third speaker spoke about how good and dedicated the CCS School Board was and how good CCS was being run. And then stated that he home-schools his own children. Go figure!
But then others who watched the entire November 13, 2023 School Board Meeting video from home began to kick in with their own Facebook comments without having to pay any attention to The CCS School Board’s silly Citizen’s Participation rules with threats to have arrested and prosecuted anybody that speaks up and won’t sit down and shut up as School Board Chairman Robert Queen might demand.
Mathew Canipe’s Facebook Post was the first that Robert A came across. Matthew Canipe has publicly stated that he plans to run for the School Board in the 2024 Elections and Robert A is proud to say that Matthew Canipe would be an excellent school board candidate to replace ANY of the CCS School Board Six up for reelection in 2024.

Cleveland County School board voted 6 to 3 to spend millions and have no idea where the money is coming from. Dang wouldn’t it be nice if we could all write checks like that. Of course, you know the usual 6 stuck together. Spend other people’s money is easy. Don’t forget Marion and Graham sit empty to rot. Committee meetings have got to go Have full board meetings. Please vote in the primary let’s move the good old boys out.

Other Facebook posts indicated that in the “Settlement” of a Title IX Federal Complaint against CCS regarding the Shelby High School Baseball Field being used by the ALWS, Baseball, Inc (Eddie Holbrook), without equivalent facilities for the SHS Girls Softball Team, that CCS’s Superintendent Stephen Fisher, promised the Federal Officials that CCS would not accept a dime in “Booster Club” funding for High School “Press Boxes.” Yet, at the November 13, 2023 School Board meeting it was acknowledged that CCS has received grants of $4.7 Million$ as well as hundreds of thousands from the various Booster Clubs and even Cleveland County Taxpayer dollars. was spent on Press Box Improvements to the four Cleveland County High School Press Box remodeling projects.
A high-level official like CCS Superintendent Stephen Fisher (with or without the knowledge of the CCS School Board); lying to a Federal Agency is a FEDERAL FELONY Crime. It will also immediately negate the employment contract between Dr. Stephen Fisher and Cleveland County Schools. Meaning that Dr. Stephen Fisher could AND SHOULD be immediately discharged from CCS for cause and that his employment contract is Null and Void. No cash payouts are allowed. And Dr. Fisher is gone. As well as any of his staff that are in cahoots with lying to the Feds. Perhaps, also: Robert Queen, Joel Shores, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor, Walter Scott Spurling, and Rodney Fitch in the process. And maybe Commissioner Chairman Kevin Gordon in another matter.
Robert A will look into this matter and get back to the citizens as soon as possible.
