Other Speakers:
Ronnie Grigg spoke about his being recruited by the Rogue Republicans and his disgust at them for the underhanded and unethical tricks that they were trying to get him involved with. It is rumored that Ronnie actually turned in the Rogue Republicans to the North Carolina Republican Party “Ethics Committee” leadership in Raleigh. Good for Ronnie Grigg. It is unfortunate that the NC GOP has refused to take any disciplinary actions against the Rogues. Another very good reason and a lesson is that we Cleveland County folks are on our own in taking care of our own business here in Cleveland County. If we won’t take care of our own dirty work, we cannot expect anybody else to do it for us. Note that Ronnie Grigg is running as a “Petition” School Board Candidate and is in the process of obtaining at least 2,600 registered Cleveland County voters’ names on his petition. I signed his petition and recommend that YOU sign it too. When Ronnie gets his petition signed and enough names on it, he will automatically be placed on the November 2022 General Election ballot for the School Board. I recommend others to go the “Petition” route to minimize the control the Rogue Republicans might have in the Republican Primary 2022 Election for the School Board or any other elected office.
Dawn Gentry, a seasoned Health Care professional, Nurse and Teacher, with 30 years of experience, explained much about decisions to wear masks and be vaccinated regarding the COVID virus. Ms. Gentry explained that there was an enormous amount of fake news and false narratives going on and each of us should make our own decisions based on our own medical history, age, underlying health situations, and such. All in conjunction with advice and consultation with our own physician. (Which is exactly what I am doing.) And, taking all reasonable precautions as one would do with any communicable disease. (I am doing that too.)
Samantha Davis, one of the hosts and a potential 2022 Candidate for the School Board gave an introduction to the meeting and stated that citizens need to get more involved with a deep and continuous oversight of elected officials. Not just around election time.
Dena Spangler, along with Samantha Davis, who were hosts for this meeting also stated that we citizens need to get more involved with the continuous oversight of elected officials. Not just around election time. Note that Election time is also very important. There is still a couple of weeks for Dena to decide whether or not she plans to file for the School Board elections in 2022.
John Stelma, Zone 6 Warrant/Recruitment Officer for the United Patriots of North Carolina presented information about the Patriots group and how local citizens “Patriots” are an increasingly necessary part of citizens’ oversight over government under the Constitution as well as common sense. In particular, the Patriots believe in “Conservative/Constitutional political activism such as organizing and participating in peaceful rallies, to promote and debate the ideals of our founding documents and educate people on the important duty of being informed and engaged politically at the local and state levels.” Note that I have underlined the specific parts that myself and others are advocating for in a Citizens Group to provide oversight of the governmental agencies in Cleveland County North Carolina. Overall, I would say that this also describes why I publish articles for Citizens For Good Government. Also, note that the Patriots do other things such as food drives, Christmas presents for poor children, and other community outreach events and programs and emergency preparedness to benefit the local community, when necessary, all across North Carolina.
Guy Smith of the Shelby TEA Party spoke about the legislative process in Raleigh and especially about the “Edu-crats.” Edu-crat is a cross between an educator and a bureaucrat that has failed on both accounts. We seem to have lots of “edu-crats” running Cleveland County Schools as well as CCC. Those “who can’t pour piss out of a boot when the instructions are on the heel.” Guy didn’t name any names, so I won’t either.
See Part II for some recommendations.
Editor’s Note: Everybody is asked to think about the skills and talents that YOU have that might be useful on a Schools Oversight Committee (SOC, pronounced SOCK, as in ”SOCK it to” the waste, corruption, lies, and inefficiencies at CCS and elsewhere). Then join up to the SOC Committee and SOC it to them at every occasion.
