Editor\u2019s Note<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>: Folks, By now most of you have learned that the word \u201c<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>eritas<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u201d is \u201cSATIRE\u201d spelled backwards! Although <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has truly identified the Kleveland Kounty Kommissioners (KKK\u2019s) as \u201cSkunks,\u201d \u201ccrooks,\u201d \u201cliars\u201d and other such accurate terms, he finds it very difficult to write anything serious about the many foolish exploits of these KKK wannabes and especially Kommissar Chairman Kevin Gordon, with a straight face. Since they are so \u201csilly\u201d and all with their mumbles, grumbles and fumbles. This is one of those occasions where Kevin Gordon has out-done himself by far. How Kevin Gordon has taken something so simple and made such a crime out of it.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Folks, the following email message, from Kommissar Kevin Gordon, came in this past Friday (12\/27\/24) morning at 8:58 am. All mixed in and jumbled-up with all the pages of Holiday after Christmas sales, bargains and Facebook Friends sending out Christmas messages and pictures of their prize Christmas turkey with all its fixings and trimmings. So, it was late Sunday night before Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0came across Kommissar Kevin\u2019s latest foolishness. It was a required legal notice that the Kommissar was calling a Special Meeting for 10 AM on December 30, 2024. After all the politicking by CC Attorney Tim Moore over this past election YEAR<\/b><\/strong>, and Tim winning Election to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC, Kommissar Kevin has finally figured out that Kleveland Kounty, NC was going to have to appoint a new Kounty Attorney. Even though KK had their Deputy Kounty Attorney Martha Thompson<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0filling Tim\u2019s shoes for most of 2023-2024. All on top of the many Special Called meetings Kommissar Kevin has called in the past month. Sometimes two such meetings in the same day.<\/p>\n

Was KK Kommissar Kevin Gordon stupid or careless or just what??? He is certainly not efficient. Or maybe not even a bit sensible. Or worse.<\/p>\n

But KK Kommissar Kevin Gordon does have one particularly bad \u201ctrait\u201d that Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has figured out a long-time ago. Kevin Gordon is predictable<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. Kevin Gordon is predictable in doing what Kevin Gordon thinks is advantageous for Kevin Gordon. At the expense of all the citizens of Cleveland County. We \u201cKNOW\u201d <\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>that Kevin Gordon was somehow and for some reason placed on Administrative Leave from his high paying job in Gaston County, and later <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u201cResigned.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0under a cloud of suspicion. Probably FORCED to RESIGN. So, why did Cleveland County Voters re-elect Kevin Gordon as a KK Kommissioner??? Is a question that somebody knows the answer to, but refuses to tell. And Kevin Gordon also refuses to answer that question. So much for KG\u2019s Honesty.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, Kevin Gordon is predictable in other ways too. He is dishonest in his official Kounty actions and likes to cover-up by misapplying North Carolina laws about how various things are required to work. Kevin Gordon, as this article will clearly show, likes to quote one part of the law and purposefully leaves other parts that are counter-productive to his own purposes completely out. Kevin Gordon, in the following official Kleveland Kounty Document completely proves this point.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Read ON!!! \u00a0The Law, North Carolina General Statute 143.318.11(a)6 is the Law that Kevin Gordon dissected, cut up and scrambled for his own purposes. He published the part that gives a \u201cgoverning body\u201d legal authority to call a CLOSED SESSISON, BUT COMPLETELY LEAVES OUT THE PART THAT REQUIRES AN <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>OPEN SESSION<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The following is an exact replica of Kevin Gordon\u2019s legally required Notification of this so-called \u201cSpecial\u201d Meeting and Closed Session. Note that <\/b><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has underlined, bolded and increased the font size to make the point more obvious. Note that NCGS 143.318 also states that bringing an attorney into a closed session for one legitimate reason, but, does NOT allow other things to be discussed that are not in and of themselves closed session items.
