Editor\u2019s Note:<\/i><\/u><\/em>\u00a0The Cleveland County Commissioners have gone \u201cbad\u201d to the bone. Every one of them. Commissioner Ronnie Whetstine did not seek re-election in 2024, so he is gone at the end of his term. Doug Bridges and Deb Hardin are not up for re-election until 2026. So, unless Bridges and Hardin grow a conscience and resign, CC is stuck with them until 2026. That leaves only \u201cSkunks\u201d Kevin Gordon and Johnny Hutchins as incumbent CC Commissioners that must surely be removed from officed in the 2024 Elections that is upon us in short order. This article provides a number of legitimate reasons Robert A<\/i><\/u><\/em>\u00a0has labeled CC Commissioners Kevin Gordon and Johnny Hutchins as \u201cSkunks.\u201d As well as \u201cCrooks\u201d and \u201cLiars!!!\u201d It is up to all us voters to make some necessary changes on November 5, 2024!!!<\/p>\n

Folks, calling elected CC officials \u201cSkunks\u201d, \u201cCrooks\u201d and\/or \u201cLiars\u201d is not a pleasant business. Actually, it is illegal (Defamation) except for one critical circumstance. It is 100% legal and necessary if the allegations are true<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. So, let\u2019s now define these terms used in this article relative to Cleveland County Commissioners Kevin Gordon and Johnny Hutchins. Both of which Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0believes should be removed from office by the voters in the November 5. 2024 General Elections.<\/p>\n

Skunk<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>: For the general purposes of this article:, a \u201cSkunk<\/b><\/strong>\u201d is an incumbent Cleveland County Commissioner, acting in his official role and capacity as a CC Commissioner, that has abused his elected office by making official public statements that are false or misleadingly false, or taken actions or purposeful inactions made for the purpose to mislead and\/or scheme to deceive the citizens, voters and\/or taxpayers of Cleveland County in ways that are NOT in the best interest of the CC Citizen. But for purposes that personally benefit the particular elected official or others related to or associated with that elected Commissioner in some tangible or intangible manner that is not in the overall best overall interest of Cleveland County and its citizens.<\/p>\n

Crook:<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Interchangeable with Skunk<\/b><\/strong>, and Liar<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0defined herein, but more related to the \u201cbreaking\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0, the \u201cbending\u201d<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0or the \u201cignoring\u201c of laws<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0set forth by the US and NC Constitution, as well as the laws of North Carolina and Cleveland County Ordinances and Resolutions; such that the original \u00a0intent of those laws has been defeated in such a way that is not in the best interest of Cleveland County citizens. Or, any other acts or actions that are UNETHICAL, DECEPTIVE of MISLEADING. Note that certain acts or inactions that break the laws of the Holy Bible<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>, King James version, may also be considered for use in this article.<\/p>\n

Liar:<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>Interchangeable with Skunk<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>Crook<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>, but more relate-able to false, misleading and deceptive statements, verbal, written, or published that may or may NOT have been made in official meetings or taken down in official documents but were made purposely to influence the understanding and decisions made by CC citizens, taxpayers and voters that would be made differently if the truth of the matter had fully been provided by the CC Elected officials in question. Note that certain acts or inactions that break the laws of the Holy Bible<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>, King James version, may also be considered for use in this article.<\/p>\n

The following are good and clear examples and explanations of how CC Commissioners Kevin Gordon<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and Johnny Hutchins<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0are Skunks<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>, Crooks<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and Liars<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(or some combination thereof) and do NOT deserve your vote for their re-election in the 2024 Elections. Starting with the most recent examples and working back. Folks, there are so many examples we will concentrate on the most egregious examples.<\/p>\n

  1. Most recently Regina Williams<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>(No known relation to Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>) made this post on Facebook under the \u201cheading\u201d VOTE!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Regina Williams<\/b><\/strong><\/a>:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

    I send a fb comment to <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>Kevin Gordon<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0about one of his signs blocking the view of drivers at an intersection and he deletes my comment and blocks me. I did it politely. Does he not care about the safety of the community? Bad example of leadership.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Editor\u2019s Note:<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>This very short note by Regina Williams is telling on CC Commissioner Kevin Gordon in so many pertinent ways.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Public Safety is the number ONE priority of ALL elected and other governmental agencies at every level. The complete lack of Cleveland County\u2019s Emergency Preparedness is clearly shown in regard to the recent Hurricane Helene\u2019s long gas lines, prolonged clearing of highways and roadways of fallen trees and other debris, etc. is proof enough of that. So, there should be no surprise that Commissioner Kevin Gordon would not care that his campaign signs were endangering the lives of drivers and their families. KG\u2019s blocking of Regina Williams\u2019s message is also a very good example on KG\u2019s character and MO. When bad news comes in, delete it and block the sender. Ignore the message and the messenger. Pretend the bad news did not exist as well as the person sending the news. Note and remember that Kevin Gordon thinks that HE is above the law and obligations of his Commissioner\u2019s position and that all criticisms of his actions will all go away as long as nobody talks about it. Also note that there are much worse examples of this character flaw in KG that KG has not yet had made public.<\/li>\n
    2. The Number ONE Strategic Goal<\/b><\/strong>of the Cleveland County Commissioners is to Encourage Public Engagement<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. When KG deletes Regina Williams\u2019s message and \u201cBlocks\u201d her from his Facebook account, he has purposely diminished Ms. Williams\u2019 constitutional right to free speech and totally disengaged her from any further \u201cpositive\u201d interface with the CC Commissioners. Ms. Williams\u2019 last statement, \u201cBad Example of Leadership\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>, certainly indicates her displeasure with KG as well as the other CC Commissioners. What a shame. Especially since all KG had to do was move this one particular campaign sign is such a way as to not<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0obstruct the view of drivers travelling down the highway. However, knowing Kevin Gordon for the liar and schemer that he is; KG is most likely now to secretly move his campaign sign (or since KG appears to also be lazy) have somebody else do it for him and then deny that he ever had a sign that blocked a drivers view to begin with.<\/li>\n
    3. Last, but not least, somehow blocking the view of drivers on a State Road is likely illegal to start with. Thus, making Commissioner Kevin Gordon a crook, a liar, a skunk and perhaps a schemer too: All rolled up into one package and proved by this single incident in this single article.<\/b><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      CC Commissioner Kevin Gordon has never been accused of being overly smart. Not that <\/b><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0knows of anyway!!<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Folks, this article is getting a bit long. So, we will divide the other information up over several articles. Especially since Commissioners Kevin Gordon and Johnny Hutchins have apparently prevented any CC Commissioner Candidate Forums from being held using County owned facilities in this 2024 Commissioner elections cycle-which includes the 2024 Commissioners Republican Primary Elections. They apparently think that Road signs, Billboards and Postcard Mailers are the only source of information that the CC Citizens and Voters need to see.<\/p>\n

      Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has a cure for that:<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n
