Editor\u2019s Note:<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Political signs and other campaign materials are not cheap. Not to mention the time and effort spent on putting them up. Also, in this day and time many potential voters, especially here in Cleveland County, do not have easy access to informative and reliable information regarding the \u201cgoings on\u201d of our local, state and national governments and their elected representatives and officials. So, too many potential voters only have the fleeting vision of a political sign they pass at 55 Miles per hour as their source of information at election time. So, sign stealers and those that put them up to it represent a threat to our democracy and, as such, should be caught and punished severely. <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>estimates that 99% of eligible voters in Cleveland County have never attended a Cleveland County Commissioner\u2019s Meeting or CCS School Board Meeting. Or Political Forums for that matter. Too many of these uninformed voters unconsciously depend on these roadside political signs to make their voting decisions.<\/p>\n

Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has also concluded that ALL<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0unscrupulous political operatives, like the Rogue Republicans in the CCGOP as well as those who would \u201cbribe\u201d politicians for their own monetary gain, know this and take advantage in several ways:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. They flood the highways and roadsides with billboards (large and small) and very large temporary political signs with sturdy wooden frames that they save from year to year to reuse at election times to support their own \u201cbought\u201d candidates.<\/li>\n
  2. They also saturate the roadways with smaller signs to \u201cdrown out\u201d those honest candidates, like Robert A. Williams and others, who refuse to waste their own resources and would also refuse to waste taxpayer resources when they are elected to office.<\/li>\n
  3. And, last, but not least, they steal honest candidates political \u201cyard sign\u201d size smaller signs to diminish and reduce the name recognition of their honest political opponents. Pretty much convinced that their \u201csign stealers\u201d stealing political signs from honest candidates will NOT often be caught and even less likely to be held accountable or punished in any way if they are apprehended.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. <\/i><\/b>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>is NOT<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0aware of any Political \u201cSign Stealers\u201d ever being caught and appropriately prosecuted in Cleveland County history. (Until now, Read on for that information.)<\/li>\n
    2. <\/i><\/b>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>always recommend voters to be aware that those large billboards and very large \u201cframed\u201d political signs are typically paid for by those that want something \u201cbig\u201d in return from \u201ctheir candidate that is much different than what is in the best interest of all the citizens. These candidates should be avoided like COVID<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0when YOU<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0mark your<\/b><\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. In Robert A\u2019s<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>OPINION, there is an (presently) unprovable link between those whose signs are NOT<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0being stolen or damaged with those Sign Stealers<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0who are stealing Robert A\u2019s<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0and other \u201cselected<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u201d honest candidates\u2019 campaign signs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The following text was transcribed exactly from CCS School Board Candidate Jay Carpenter\u2019s Campaign Facebook Page.<\/p>\n

      Several of my campaign signs were stolen in Boiling Springs. I would just like to thank Officer Chris Williamson with the Boiling Springs Police Department for all his assistance in Helping me catch the man who has been stealing my signs and others.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Stealing signs is wrong, and people need to take responsibility and be held accountable for <\/b><\/strong>their<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0actions. I will continue to take this stand to make sure people are accountable.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      If elected, I will continue to take this stand to make sure people are held accountable for doing the job they were hired for. <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      If anyone who has had a sign stolen in Boiling Springs at Ingles and would like to see justice served, contact the Cleveland County Magistrate office.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, signs of Tim Moore, Johnny Hutchins, Robert Queen are there and have not been removed. Kevin Gordon\u2019s LARGE signs are also at that same location near Fallston and are still there.<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

      \u00a0<\/b><\/strong>Folks, the 2024 Republican Primary Elections are upon us. And, it is totally obvious that the RIGHT Conservative Republican candidates be selected at every level. From the President on down to the CCS School Board and CC Commissioners to the President of the United States. From the CC School Board and Commissioners all the way up to the President.<\/p>\n

      As usual, Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is working up his \u201cSample Ballot Voting Recommendations\u201d for all the offices that will be on the Cleveland County Ballots. This will be out shortly. For right now, Robert A r<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>ecommends the following candidates on the Republican ticket in Cleveland County:<\/p>\n

      For US President<\/u>:<\/p>\n

      Donald J. Trump<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Note that there will be eight<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0candidates for US President on the 2024 Republican Primary Ballot. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0recommends voting only for Donald J. Trump<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0for US President. No other person on this earth is more motivated to \u201cdrain the swamp<\/b><\/strong>\u201d in Washington, DC, close the border<\/u>\u00a0and Make America Great Again<\/u>\u00a0than Donald J. Trump<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      Also note School Board Candidate Sheila Canipe\u2019s<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0position on issues and qualifications have\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>become better known to Robert A.<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0It is now obvious that Sheila Canipe<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(no relation to Matthew Canipe) would clearly advocate for the positive changes needed at Cleveland County Schools. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0recommends that, upon election of a new Majority on the School Board, any of these six candidates not elected be appointed to an \u201cAdvisory Committee\u201d to assist in the details of making the changes that need to be made at CCS. As well as making revisions to the curriculum and choosing the books that would be chosen for the school\u2019s libraries and textbooks. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0recommends NO INCUMBENT SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER be re-elected. They all<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0promised transparency<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0in the 2020 elections and gave us nothing but lies and cover-up. As <\/b><\/strong>Einstein<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0would say, to re-elect the incumbents (Robert Queen, Ron Humphries, Joel Shores, Rodney Fitch and Greg Taylor) and expect better from them <\/b><\/strong>would be the definition of insanity<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. <\/b><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is NOT INSANE.
