Kevin Gordon\u2019s big campaign signs and billboards are all over Cleveland County. Gordon must have won the Powerball Lottery<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to be able to support such spending. OR<\/b><\/u><\/strong>, Gordon has been bought off by the big special interest crowd who expect to reap Hugh dividends in 2025 if Kevin Gordon is elected commissioner in 2024.<\/p>\n

The truth of the matter is this. It will NOT be Kevin Gordon himself<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0paying his \u201cinvestors\u201d<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0big dividends!! It will be YOU,<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong> the taxpayer who pays for those big signs and billboards through very large increases in YOUR<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0property tax BILLS<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0in 2025<\/b><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

All these big signs and billboards are not anything new in Cleveland County election year politics. Remember the 2018 Elections when defeated Commissioner Eddie Holbrook spent $68,000<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0on HIS big signs and billboards. Only to lose to Commissioner Deb Hardin and Doug Bridges who spent all together less than 10% of what Holbrook spent.<\/p>\n

It is expected that Cleveland County voters will do the same in 2024. Dump the special interest big sign and big spending candidates like Kevin Gordon and vote for Robert A. Williams<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and those he endorses for Cleveland County Commissioners. Robert A. Williams has pledged to the Taxpayers Bill of Rights<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. To NOT raise individual citizens’ property tax bills, but to raise tax revenue only through growth!!<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

So, what does Robert A. Williams mean by <\/b><\/strong>Growth<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>? <\/b><\/strong>Increasing tax revenue<\/b><\/u><\/strong>, not by raising individual citizens’ tax bills? NOoo! Robert A<\/b><\/strong>. would keep the tax bills<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0for individual citizens exactly the same. Hey, everybody knows Cleveland County is growing mostly because people working in Charlotte and Spartanburg SC are spreading out along I-85 into Cleveland County. When THOSE<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0folks build houses in Cleveland County,\u00a0<\/u>their<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0property tax bill collections<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0represent \u201cgrowth<\/b><\/u><\/strong>.\u201d Revenue increases without having to raise the property tax bills of those who are already here!!! <\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>Folks, <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>It\u2019s just that simple!! <\/b><\/strong>Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0believes in keeping simple things, SIMPLE!!! <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

Folks, THAT is a simple fiscal responsibility<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0concept that Kevin Gordon, et. al. just refuse to comprehend.<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0All that crowd knows is tax and spend and spend and tax the people. And take out a cut for themselves and their pals along the way!! Like Eddie Holbrook and others regarding the Casino!!<\/p>\n

So, folks, YOU<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0can sell your vote cheap to the likes of Kevin Gordon, et. al. OR<\/b><\/u><\/strong>, invest your future and your children\u2019s future in candidates like Robert A. Williams<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and those he endorses. Candidates for CC Commissioner who understand that GROWTH<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is the best path into the future and how to pay for that better future. Smooth and Steady GROWTH, and not continuous booms and busts.<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has set his Election Campaign budget low-lean and mean-and intends to keep County budgets the same way. Smart voters will look at all those big signs and notice Robert A\u2019s<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0small signs (those that have not yet been stolen) and make their smart choices.<\/p>\n
