Very egregious and UGLY politically motivated acts of Constitutional Rights violations, Discrimination, unethical acts of deception, and abuse of power perpetrated by the Cleveland County Commissioners at the September 5th,<\/sup>\u00a02023 Commissioners Meeting; done under the guidance and direction of Commissioner Chairman Kevin Gordon, has caused Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong> to finally decide to commit to the task of running for elected office. That Office being running for the office of Cleveland County Commissioner in the 2024 Elections.<\/p>\n

Also, Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has decided to launch a Political Action Committee (PAC) Take Back Cleveland County <\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>for the purpose of independently recording government meetings, recruiting candidates, coaching, training, advising and assisting candidates with campaign reporting, and aiding with campaign funding for the other Commissioners offices, School Board offices and perhaps other elected offices in the 2024 Elections-and beyond.<\/p>\n

So, on Wednesday morning, September 6th<\/sup>, 2023 Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0set out relatively early to the Office of the Cleveland County Board of Elections to pick up all the necessary paperwork and instructions to begin his own campaign for Cleveland County Commissioner as well as the necessary paperwork for the Take Back Cleveland County<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0PAC. All this paperwork is presently being properly filled out for a timely submission. Also, note that the filing dates for the 2024 Elections are in early December 2023, so Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is starting early on his Commissioner campaign and urges others who are interested and motivated to do the same. And Take Back Cleveland County<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will be glad to help you with the various details.<\/p>\n

Robert A\u2019s<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0first piece of advice to anybody seeking to run for political office in Cleveland County is to ensure that YOU are a REGISTERED REPUBLICAN<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>. Note that Cleveland County NC is a \u201cConservative\u201d county. And Cleveland County voters overwhelmingly look for conservative candidates to vote for. Also, note that in this situation large numbers of voters in Cleveland County who are conservative thinkers can only identify conservative candidates based on them being Registered Republicans. So, if YOU want to run for office and win, it is 99.999% required that YOU be a registered Republican in the 2024 Elections. So, if YOU are an \u201cUnaffiliated\u201d registered person and want to run for office, get your registration changed to REPUBLICAN immediately. Also, do not go for any of that third-party stuff. Being a Registered Republican, like Robert A,<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong> in NO WAY requires YOU to \u201ccow-tow\u201d to the Cleveland County GOP. Recent Bad Acts by the CC GOP have put \u201csour\u201d tastes in lots of Conservative Republicans\u2019 mouths. Also, the CC GOP is notorious for NOT supporting Republican candidates that do not suck up to them. And other forms of social slights. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has often said the CC GOP Executive Committee could hold their meetings in a Telephone Booth. Recent gossip is the CC GOP\u2019s foremost event, their Lincoln-Douglas Day<\/b><\/strong> dinner has not sold enough tickets to pay for the event. So, DO NOT expect any support from the CCGOP if you are interested in running for elected office for the first time. Back to Wednesday\u2019s News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While Robert A<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0was in Shelby this past Wednesday, after leaving the Board of Elections office, he decided to go by the tax collector\u2019s office to pay his property tax. The shortest route was to turn right on Patton Drive to Marion Street and then to the left to the County offices. It was in broad daylight; the weather was good and the visibility was excellent. There was also no traffic so Robert A could drive slowly by the ongoing destruction activity for the new CC Justice Center construction was shocked.<\/p>\n

Recent \u201cgossip\u201d on this new and ill-conceived Justice Center was that the \u201cgoofy\u201d Cleveland County Commissioners had bills totaling over $100,000,000 ($100 Million) so far on this Justice Center and the underground piping for sewer and stormwater runoff had not even been placed yet. There were big holes in the ground all around and the construction of no part of the new buildings had even begun. Robert A\u2019s <\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>recollections of his experience with large construction projects (Projects that were in the multi-billion$ range) were that site preparation (for Construction) cost should NOT exceed around 10% of the total budget for the project.<\/p>\n

Since the original estimate for a completed Justice Center Project was $90,000,000 ($90 million$) and 10 times the $100,000,000 Cleveland County has already spent, equals $1,000,000,000. That is ONE BILLION DOLLARS!!! Folks. Nobody, not even the newly born babies still in the hospital, will live long enough to see this huge debt paid off at today\u2019s tax bill revenues. Much less fix up any of the 25-sixty-year-old schools at CCS. Much less build any new schools, fix potholes, etc. Folks, Our Cleveland County Commissioners: Kevin Gordon, Ronnie Whetstine, Johnny Hutchins, Doug Bridges, and Deb Hardin have financially ruined Cleveland County taxpayers. Only Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0has the grit and the gall to do what is necessary to put a stop to this mess. And the other tons of messes these foolish Commissioners have brought upon our CC citizens and taxpayers. And, don\u2019t forget the Midpines Recycling Center fiasco. As well as the overcrowding at the Recycling Centers surrounding Midpines that have already become overloaded with the Midpines traffic.<\/p>\n

Folks, also go watch the Commissioner\u2019s Meeting Video of the September 5th<\/sup>\u00a0Commissioners Meeting. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will soon be disclosing what happened during that short break in that meeting video. Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is not afraid of the truth. Why should the citizens of Cleveland County put up with this crowd of Commissioners that continuously lie and cover up the truth of the matter??? Remember, Robert A\u2019s<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0first campaign promise to the citizens of Cleveland County is that HE will NEVER shut off the camera to the citizens of Cleveland County. You will also see that Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0refuses to back down from the bullies who are trying to deceive and defraud the citizens of Cleveland County.<\/p>\n

Stay tuned folks, the excitement has just begun in the 2024 Commissioners Elections campaign. Make sure YOU are on the side of truth, transparency, and fiscal responsibility. Otherwise, YOU, I, and everybody will be underwater in debt for the rest of our lives. Just like the Commissioners turned off the cameras at the Sept. 5th<\/sup>\u00a0Commissioners meeting. And, if you are not afraid, call your commissioners and demand that they resign immediately. If not sooner. They have a lot of questions coming their way that will embarrass them.<\/p>\n
