With three candidates of African-American ancestry that are running for political office that will be voted upon by Cleveland County voters (Barach Obama for President, Mary Accor for County Commissioner, Pearl Floyd for NC 110 House) we are likely to hear the word \u201cN-word\u201d many times in private conversations and hear it blanked out in public TV discussions.<\/p>\n

Such as Presidential candidate Barack Obama, in defense of his \u201cN-word\u201d speaking \u201cblack power\u201d radical preacher (Rev. Wright), says race is an issue that needs discussion in the political campaigns of today.\u00a0 Perhaps that is so.\u00a0 But race is not the problem I have with banning the N-word.\u00a0 The problem I have is the other meaning for the word “N-word:”\u00a0 which<\/strong> is \u201ca victim of prejudice similar to that suffered by blacks; a person who is economically, politically, or socially disenfranchised\u201d that we all know so well.\u00a0 WE see him or her every day when we look in the mirror.\u00a0 This meaning that does not apply to the color of one\u2019s skin or their continent of origin.\u00a0 This meaning that came to me (and others) loud and clear when I watched the Destination Cleveland County (DCC) folks and the Cleveland Commissioners take the Cleveland County Courthouse away from all us N-WORDS that paid for it and give it to the \u201crich white folks\u201d that own Cleveland County.<\/p>\n

Well, the word N-word may indeed be an offensive word in the English language that is spoken in Cleveland County.\u00a0 But the word \u201ctruth. Has also become<\/strong> offensive.\u00a0 Truth is SO offensive that you very seldom find it in the Shelby Star.\u00a0 Truth is so offensive that Judge Dina Foster once got a court order ruling that truth could not be used as a defense in the lawsuit that she brought against me and Citizens For Good Government in her (and others) effort to shut us up.\u00a0 As you can see it didn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

And you never read a word about that in the Shelby Star either.\u00a0 But a special judge appointed by the Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court came to Cleveland County and put a stop to\u00a0 Judge Dina\u2019s anti-truth campaign.\u00a0 But husband Skippy is still live and well at the Star.<\/p>\n

So folks, I decided to return the \u201cN-word\u201d and \u201ctruth\u201d to the discussions in Cleveland County politics.\u00a0 Everybody in Cleveland County knows what \u201cbeing treated like a N-word\u201d means.\u00a0 That term does not reflect \u201cbad\u201d on a person whose skin is black OR white.\u00a0 It reflects an accurate description of the good-ole-boy oppressive behavior over all us \u201cN-words\u201d-all in one word that we all understand.<\/p>\n

If being a N-word and being told a steady stream of lies is offensive to you, do something about it.\u00a0 Read every word of this issue and don\u2019t believe a word.\u00a0 That is don\u2019t believe a word before you engage your brain and common sense and think about what is said.\u00a0 You will then know what to do on Election Day.\u00a0 Why be offended any longer than that???<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Everybody that picks up this issue of Citizens For Good Government knows the \u201cN\u201d-word is \u201cN_____.\u201d Something that is not politically correct to say. But, for a fact the \u201cN-word\u201d is a derivative of the word \u201cNegro,\u201d which is the Spanish word for the color \u201cblack.\u201d In the political correctness of 2008 the word \u201cN-word,\u201d to a black skinned person or African-American person, is probably the most offensive word in the English language. The success in getting \u201cN-word\u201d banned from \u201cwhite\u201d speech is nothing but a dirty trick.
