Biting Dogs<\/b><\/u><\/strong>: In recent articles, Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0reported that three women came to speak at a recent County Commissioner\u2019s Meeting to inform the Commissioners of vicious, mean, aggressive, BIG and biting dogs running loose on and around the 800 Block of Kings Road. Numerous calls had gone out to the Shelby PD as well as the County Animal Control. Each of the women reported that of all the calls that had been made to the SPD and to the Animal Control They all had done nothing!<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Several of the women had actually been bitten and were worried that Animal Control had not isolated and quarantined the dogs or properly checked to determine whether or not the dogs had been properly vaccinated. One woman stated that she only had a few days before she would be required to take a series of Rabies treatments that were very painful and cost $40,000. The commissioners said they would look into it.<\/p>\n

At the very next Commissioner\u2019s Meeting the draft minutes of the previous meeting were on the agenda for approval. And were approved 5-0. Those approved draft minutes included a statement that the Commissioners were handling the biting dog situation, but included nothing else about just what did this \u201cHandling\u201d include.<\/p>\n

Since Rabies is a deadly and 100% fatal disease and nothing had been done by the County Commissioners that was reported, Robert A <\/b><\/u><\/strong>signed up to speak at that next commissioners and asked about this biting dog situation. Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0also asked the commissioners if them just saying in the minutes of the original meeting that the \u201csituation was handled;\u201d \u201cWas that just another way of saying that nothing was done.\u201d<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0The Commissioners refused to answer to anything.<\/p>\n

Now it is April 30, 2023 and a source reports to Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0that the Shelby Main Post Office has sent notification to all persons living on and near that 800 block of Kings Road in Shelby stating that \u201cdue to the biting dogs in that area (that had apparently also bitten Mail Delivery personnel) Home Mail Delivery had been suspended<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0<\/i><\/u><\/em>indefinitely<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and all those residents that lived in that area would have to come to the Shelby Main Post Office for their mail.<\/p>\n

So, now it is totally apparent that the Cleveland County Commissioners also had indeed NOT done anything effective to protect citizens from that deadly disease called Rabies<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0that is spread by animal bites. And, which is the major reason Cleveland County Animal Control exists in the first place. And also, the reason Animal Control<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0is under the Cleveland County Health Department. <\/b><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Other sources indicate that problems at the CC Animal Control, an alleged \u201cpet\u201d department of Commissioner Deb Hardin, has been initiated by the other Commissioners because Commissioner Hardin voted NO on this year\u2019s budget because the Commissioners continue to give Eddie Holbrook\u2019s ALWS Baseball, Inc. so much funding ($Million$) and other groups get so little funding. From all indications, Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0is totally convinced that this allegation is 100% likely to be true. And NOW the Commissioners have created for themselves a dangerous and deadly health concern for all of Cleveland County residents and for themselves too, at the next election in 2024.<\/p>\n

Editor\u2019s Note<\/b><\/u><\/strong>: IF <\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>Robert A<\/i><\/b><\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>files,<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong>runs and wins election to the County Commissioner\u2019s Board in the 2024 Elections, he would immediately vote to do what was necessary to protect the health and safety of the Citizens and Residents of Cleveland County. Such game playing as this has NO part of any government agency anywhere. And vicious, aggressive and biting dogs running loose has no place anywhere in Cleveland County. Inside Shelby City Limits included or elsewhere. Shame. Shame, Shame on all you Cleveland County Commissioners who would sacrifice the lives of Cleveland County Citizens because YOU want to retaliate against fellow Commissioner Deb Hardin.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cleveland County Commissioners, often including the CCS School Board are refusing to share the truth with the citizens and taxpayers of Cleveland County.
