Where is Payton Guion??<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0by Sandra Stroud<\/p>\n

Over the years our Cleveland County Government has become a cesspool of corruption!! It was never this way until certain people started being elected to positions of power and they began to bring in others who were active participants in their corruptive schemes.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Remember the big news that broke about the Two Kings Casino? A seasoned professional (and award winning) investigative reporter from the Charlotte Observer came to Cleveland County and was \u201cdeep diving\u201d into the corruption surrounding the Casino. (Reporter) Payton Guion prepared a lengthy account of the involvement of Eddie Holbrook and David Dear and their interest\/share of the profits. The Catawba Indians should have been receiving their fair share of the profits; but not so. The profits were being (unfairly) divided among a host of \u201cmoney-grabbers\u201d including Eddie Holbrook and David Dear.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Guion had just begun his investigative reporting and within days of his elaborate and revealing three-page account of the Two Kings Casino corruption, he (Mr. Guion) went missing. All attempts to locate Mr. Guion have turned up nothing. Even those who had formed friendships with Mr. Guion cannot locate him.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It seems suspicious that when this story broke naming Eddie Holbrook and David Dear that Mr. Guion disappeared!! Also, when the story was published in the Charlotte Observer, Eddie Holbrook developed a (suspicious) health issue and left Cleveland County to retreat at his restive property in Charleston, SC. This smell of cover-up and shut-up as well as to shut-down the investigation.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The big Casino story was published December 18, 2022. Along about that time Eddie Holbrook retreated to Charleston, SC and now it is April 2023 and Eddie Holbrook has \u201cresurfaced\u201d to continue his reign over the (American Legion) World Series Corruption. The big scheme of corruption continues while Payton Guion seems to have disappeared.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr. Guion had plans to go deeper into some unsolved issues with the cheap sale of our hospital and the World Series corruption as well as to continue his work on the Casino investigation-all of which involved Eddie Holbrook, (David Dear) and others.<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

So, what happened to Payton Guion??? Where is he?? Is there a Mafia in Cleveland County?<\/i><\/b><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We want no more corruption like what was found out about the Catawba Casino, the bribed sale of our hospital for 2 cents on the dollar, endless sales tax increase referendums, endless property revaluations where Cleveland County has deployed drones to peep into our bedroom windows looking for whatever it is that they can use to raise property taxes over. And it goes on and on.<\/p>\n
