Federal Investigators have determined that the Catawba Indian Nation and their leaders have violated Federal Laws in regards to the Kings Mountain Casino located near Kings Mountain, within Cleveland County. Federal Law on Indian Casinos requires the Indian Tribe to be the majority owners of their Casino and the revenues generated go to the benefit of the Indian Tribe population and nobody else. This particular Federal Law was passed to make sure organized crime, the Mafia or any other criminal enterprise does NOT take over control of the Casino\u2019s gambling operations. Or often associated criminal operations such as loan sharking, drug dealing O and prostitution. Land flipping and land scams around the Casino may also be something else those Federal Laws were intended to prohibit. One thing that is certain is the fact that the construction of the Kings Mountain Casino has been shut down completely until further notice. However, Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0is uncertain whether or not the temporary gambling facilities at the Casino location has also been shut down.<\/p>\n

What concerns Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0is the potential involvement of county officials, the Commissioners, the County Manager, County Employees, etc. with illegal and unethical acts that have already been or are planed for the future that compromise Cleveland County and its taxpayers. It has already been shown that Former County Commissioner Chairman Eddie Holbrook and Former County Manager David Dear have personally been rewarded with bribes for the illegal and unethical use of their elected and appointed office authority to benefit themselves with large sums of secret money transactions. As well as with others who have donated large sums of money to other elected officials political campaigns to \u201cbribe\u201d that person to do things to benefit the Casino project and, in turn, themselves.<\/p>\n

Another concern of Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0is Cleveland County\u2019s direct involvement of extorting money from the Indian Casino by \u201cextorting\u201d cash from the Catawba Indians by the Commissioners by forcing the Indians into a \u201cRevenue Sharing\u201d Contract Agreement with Cleveland County under the pretense of providing certain services in return for a percentage of the \u201ctake\u201d at the Casino. By Federal Law, Indian Nation land is NOT subject to property tax that would be legally paid to Cleveland County as a percentage of the Casino\u2019s revenue. Such a \u201cRevenue Sharing\u201d contract would be akin to the mob charging businesses for \u201cprotection.\u201d Insurance payments extorted under the threat of vandalizing the business property or running off customers of the business if they did NOT make such payments. Note that in certain ways Cleveland County already does such things to their own citizens in the form of Property Taxes, Sales taxes, Permity fees, etc. Especially with Commissioner Chairman Kevin \u201cMad Dog\u201d Gordon\u2019s continuing push to increase revenues by increases in all of the above.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0has been, through his writings in Citizens For Good Government.org, <\/b><\/strong>alerting the citizens of Cleveland County and beyond for years about the uncouth shenanigans Cleveland County\u2019s so-called leaders have been pulling regarding the Casino, Property Tax increases. Sales tax increases and especially wasteful spending. Now that other news organizations have become aware of Robert As<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0writings, they have been \u201cmining\u201d www.citizensforgoodgovernment.org<\/u><\/a>\u00a0for information about Cleveland County, names involved. political shenanigans, and other such shady actions. Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0has given all comers full permissin to use any information he has written about to be uses without reservation. Or costs of any kind. \u201cWhat I have written is free for anyone to use in exposing corruption, wherever it is found.\u201d says Robert A. <\/b><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0also says that \u201call this corruption going on in Cleveland County will stop immediately when the first offender is caught, prosecuted and led off to jail in handcuffs. Most readers firmly believe that notion is completely true. And long over-due in Cleveland County.<\/p>\n

This Revenue Sharing Contract agreement between Cleveland County and the Catawba Casino previously noted is real. Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0has seen it. And read it too. Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0has also submitted a Public Records Request to Cleveland County for THEM to provide an official copy of it. AND, Cleveland County has NOT produced that document. Apparently, they are hiding that document as it might show illegal acts has been committed by the County Commissioners. Hiding or otherwise destroying a Public Record is illegal in North Carolina.<\/p>\n
