Commissioner Chairman Kevin \u201cMad Dog\u201d Gordon has become fixated on silencing the people who come to Commissioner\u2019s meetings to speak about the issues and problems facing Cleveland County. Mad Dog Gordon must think that silencing the citizens of Cleveland County is the same as solving problems. Mad Dog just can\u2019t figure out that HE has become THE biggest problem in Cleveland County. Mad Dog, the Sales Tax Raiser. Mad Dog, the Slayer of the Cleveland County Rescue Squads, Mad Dog, the BIG Spender of Taxpayer Dollars. Mad Dog, the yeller and the screamer. Mad Dog the liar and the schemer. Mad Dog, the would-be killer of the County Volunteer Fire Departments. Mad Dog, the property tax raiser. Mad Dog, the would- be fixer of things that are not broken. Mad Dog, the giver of things that are not his to give. Mad Dog the taker or things that are not his to take.<\/p>\n

Now, Mad Dog is taking away the lawful right of Cleveland County Citizens to speak during Public Participation at Commissioner meetings. But, hey folks, don\u2019t believe ole Robert A.<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Here is a copy of tonight\u2019s Cleveland County Commissioner\u2019s Meeting Agenda. See the part about Public Participation. Or Citizens Recognition. It\u2019s right there in big bold letters, right at the start.<\/p>\n

What, you say? You can\u2019t find it. You say there is nothing, not a word about Citizens Recognition or Public Participation. Nothing about the First Amendment rights of Free speech. None of that is there? Hey, Robert A <\/b><\/u><\/strong>offers $100 to the first person that can find that right for the public, those citizens of Cleveland County to speak to the High and Mighty Cleveland County Commissioners. Those great leaders who have doubled the cost of security at Commissioner\u2019s Meetings to stand up front at the end of the meetings and stop citizens from speaking to the commissioners at the end of the meetings. All because Mad Dog Gordon says so.<\/p>\n

Folks, you have just caught Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0in a mistake. Commissioner Kevin \u201cMad Dog\u201d Gordon does NOT have the power as the Commissioner Chairman to stop the citizens from talking to the Commissioners. While it is 100% true that the Commissioner Chairman is responsible for the Meeting Agenda, any commissioner can make a motion to add a Citizens Recognition to the Agenda. And if a Majority of the Commissioners approve the motion, Citizens Recognition gets added to the agenda. Whether Mad Dog likes it or not.<\/p>\n

So, Commissioner Kevin \u201cMad Dog\u201d Gordon cannot remove citizens Recognition from every Commissioners Meeting Agenda, even if he wanted to. It takes ALL the Commissioners to go along with Mad Dog to remove Citizens Recognition from every Commissioners Meeting. And all the commissioners could vote to include citizens recognition to EVERY Commissioner\u2019s Meeting. Like it has always been.<\/p>\n

So, take a look at this Agenda for tonight\u2019s (October 18, 2022) Commissioner\u2019s Meeting. YOU will NOT find anything close to a Citizens Recognition or Public Participation anywhere. And THAT will be because Kevin \u201cMad Dog\u201d Gordon. Deb \u201cMad Dog\u201d Hardin, Ronnie \u201cMad Dog\u201d Whetstine, Johnny \u201cMad Dog\u201d Hutchins and Doug \u201cMad Dog\u201d Bridges want it that way.<\/p>\n

Robert A<\/b><\/u><\/strong>\u00a0says who needs a bunch of MAD DOGS raising our taxes without letting us speak at Commissioner\u2019s Meetings. The answer to that is easy. NOBODY wants a pack of Mad Dogs running anything in Cleveland County. Commissioners or the School Board. \u00a0Either listen to the people or YOU Mad Dogs will be gone in the 2024 Elections.<\/p>\n
