I was shocked at what I heard next.

Health Department Director Tiffany Hansen came forward with a very short presentation that stated the “COVID POSITIVITY RATE IN CLEVELAND COUNTY WAS 30%!!!”

My mind immediately raced back to the 2020 Election Year when Democrat NC Governor Roy Cooper shut down North Carolina schools. At that point Cleveland County had ZERO COVID cases, ZERO COVID deaths and ZERO percent Positivity. And everybody, especially the NC Teachers Union was shouting “Follow the Science!!!-Follow the Science!!!”

Then, after deaths and COVID cases spread out over NC and Cleveland County, the Governor’s Office and others set shutdown rules based on “POSITIVITY” As I recall, Positivity rates of over 7% or maybe 10% would trip more shutdowns or even lockdowns. For Cleveland County the “wale” of the Teachers Union was always “Follow the Science!” Remember all the School Board meetings when Health Department Director Tiffany Hansen would present COVID Positivity updates to the School Board and starting Schools back up were delayed. And delayed. And delayed. And delayed. And delayed some more. I don’t remember how many times, but the education of Cleveland County students was clearly impaired. Severely impaired so much that Cleveland County Schools refuses to tell us how much. Or that they wasted at least $100,000,000 ($100 Million) or so in school budgetary funding while schools sere shut down.

During all these shutdowns and Teacher’s Union complaints about Follow the Science. I decided to Follow the Science. Starting with Positivity Rates. Just what the heck is a COVID positivity rate??

This is what I found. The Positivity Rate is the number of confirmed COVID Positive Tests divided by the Number of Tests administered and expressed as a percentage.

Positive Test Results divided by Number of tests Given.

For example, if ten tests are given and only one is positive, the Positivity is 10%

Now, also remember that back then test kits were not readily available and were difficult to come by. Plus, nobody would go to the trouble to seek out a COVID test unless they were already very sick and already convinced they had COVID. Thus, making Positivity Test Rates artificially HIGH. Plus, those early test kits were not very accurate. And since a false positive was better than a false negative as related to medical treatment, the threshold for a Positive result were also low, making Positivity Rates also artificially high.

But, if the purpose of all of this school shutdowns was to dump very large numbers of children into the childcare industry, so many that childcare was almost impossible for working parents to find, the parent would have to stay home from work. Creating a shutdown of industry. Creating a shutdown of the economy. And defeating President Donald Trump in the 2020 Elections. In that respect, it is mission accomplished.

Now, when I tried to look up that COVID Positivity Rate of 30% on the Cleveland County Health Department website, I cannot find it. All I see is “stuff” about getting vaccinated.

Now, with Joe Biden sitting in the Whitehouse and high gas prices, record high inflation, record high National Debt, American Soldiers being sent to Eastern Europe, etc., the USA as well as Cleveland County are in a “fix” for who knows how long.

And a 30% Positivity Test rate is not a big deal for anybody in Cleveland County. Although surging COVID cases seem to worry people that read the Charlotte Observer.

Stay tuned for my upcoming articles about more suspicious spending by the Commissioners. Especially the DEBT that is being created to support that spending. Not to mention the wild and reckless spending by Cleveland County Schools. The 2022 Elections are upon us and it may be time for the taxpayers to have their say on “who” is spending the money that is being “picked” from our pockets.

At the very end of the record short Cleveland County Commissioner’s Meeting held February 1, 2022; right after the Commissioners voted 5-0 to spend $3,500,000 on “renovations” to the Health Department Building to accommodate the Co-location of the CC DSS within the Health Department Building (more on that in another article) and right before adjournment; […]

[31

post-5409","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-ccc-ccs-scandals
["GET
