Raven Martin Fite, a school bus driver for Cleveland County Schools, was arrested this morning (Thursday, December 9, 2021) for driving a Cleveland County School Bus with 24 children aboard to Union Elementary School. Ms. Fite was charged with Driving While Impaired (DWI) and Reckless Driving to Endanger. Her first court appearance is Friday Morning, December 10, 2021, at the Cleveland County Courthouse.<\/p>\n

I personally witnessed the WBTV Channel 3 report on Thursday Six O\u2019clock News. You can also witness that report in the link provided at the end of this article.<\/p>\n

What struck me the most was toward the end of the TV News Report, the Children\u2019s parents were most P.O.\u2019d because the School \u201cDistrict\u201d refused to notify them directly about what had just happened. What P.O.\u2019d me the most was CCS told the TV News that they could NOT talk because this was a personnel matter AFTER telling the reporters that the Driver was a FORMER school bus driver. Obviously trying to say that they had already fired Ms. Fite and it was no longer their problem. That is what they always do. Fire someone or force them to resign and then say the matter is closed and that they, the School Board, had not done anything wrong. That is just one of the many, many good reasons that School Board Chairman Robert \u201cLuke\u201d Queen has to go. His sheep too. Immediately, if not sooner.<\/p>\n

Now, there is more. <\/p>\n

Research indicates that the female bus driver is a white female and is also a Teacher\u2019s Assistant. So, was CCS going to allow her to enter the classroom drunk with the children if she hadn\u2019t been arrested??? Also, her bond was set at $2,500 and she was not listed in the CCSD Jail Log. Meaning she made bail and was released this very day.<\/p>\n

Another CCS Teacher\u2019s Assistant, Lewis Montrel Gash, a black male was arrested on December 5, 2021, for Driving While Impaired (DWI), having an open container in the passenger compartment, OFA (?), FTA (?), and F. obtaining property under false pretenses. Lewis Gash\u2019s bond was set at $45,000 and he is still in jail.<\/p>\n

Some will say there may be a racial component to these seemingly similar cases. The white female school bus driver\u2019s \u201ccharge of reckless driving to endanger\u201d could have been 24 counts of reckless driving to endanger since there were 24 children aboard that school bus. That is a question the Magistrate or Judge that sets bond will have to answer. And, a question for members of the black community to ask. They have strangely been silent for a long time about this kind of thing. And, that is a question for me to ask and the black community to answer. I would certainly be glad to publish what is said about that.<\/p>\n

My battle here is with the Cleveland County School District and the School Board under Robert \u201cLuke\u201d Queen. Why does CCS continue to keep secrets? Why won\u2019t the School Board demand answers to why the CCS Human Resources Department under Jennifer Wampler and Supt. Stephen Fisher continues hiring people without sufficient background checks? And, then cover-up when trouble comes around. As it surely does and quite often it seems.<\/p>\n

Luke Queen, Where are you??? Get your head out of the \u201csand,\u201d or wherever it is, and answer up to the citizens, Parents, and the taxpayers of Cleveland County!!! Why are our children not safe, and fed nourishing meals at Cleveland County Schools??? Why are they subject to so many sexual predators and fed Pornographic materials on their Cell phones, computers, as well as in lesson plans and foul books in the School Library??? Luke, if YOU are not part of the Solution, YOU are part of the PROBLEM!!! For once, do the right thing and resign immediately. If not sooner. The same goes for Luke\u2019s \u201csheep\u201d on the School Board.<\/p>\n
