Oh! The many faces of School Board Chairman Shearra Miller and side-kick Shelby Council woman Violet Dukes. Claiming to do right, then ignoring their own words and doing wrong!! Also, these kind folks are \u201cequal opportunity abusers.\u201d When they are not abusing children, they are abusing black businessmen (aka Mr. Willie Green and any other black business person who falls within their clutching grasp) who are trying to do business within the law in Shelby and Cleveland County.<\/p>\n

But, don\u2019t believe me. Check out the Shelby Star article titled \u201cArts Council moves ahead with Chalk Fest.\u201d Cleveland County School Board Chairman Shearra Miller, also the Executive Director of the Cleveland County Arts Council, said \u201cthe festival has been around since 2014 and will be a good opportunity for people to safely be around others while enjoying fresh air and sunshine.\u201d All the while Miller and the other nitwits on the School Board refuse to let graduating students have their traditional graduation ceremony. To \u201cWalk the Line\u201d so to speak.<\/p>\n

But, Hey!!! Miller and Dukes forget all about what they claim is the unbreakable \u201cExecutive Order\u201d put out by fellow nit-wit, Governor Roy Cooper and decide to hold their Arts Council \u201cChalk fest\u201d today (Saturday June 6, 2020), coronavirus or not. I am sure all kinds of pictures will be printed in the Shelby Star showing all the happy kids making chalk drawings on the sidewalks around the Old Uptown Courthouse. So much for stupid \u201cExecutive Orders\u201d by Governor Roy Cooper. That does happen to be one thing I agree with Shearra Miller and Violet Dukes on.<\/p>\n

Editor\u2019s Note: I do NOT agree with Shearra Miller and Violet Dukes with holding this \u201cChalk Fest\u201d on D-Day and around the War Monuments around the Courthouse. All those lives that were lost defending our Country deserve to be remembered and respected. Knowing and understanding that the freedoms that we have were not free. I would wager that none of the kids participating in the \u201cChalk Fest\u201d can explain what D-Day was really all about. Especially since CCS and about all other public schools are bringing our children up to be socialists. Perhaps that is a story for another day. But a discussion that needs to be had as there are those that would remove those Court Square Monuments-all of them. As much was described in the Ten-Year City of Shelby Masterplan, Violet Dukes-I am calling YOU out to make sure that does not happen. No Monuments are to be vandalized, defaced or removed. NONE!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Dukes also have something in common related to aspiring black businessmen. They apparently hate them all!! And both are in positions to advance their hatred. In Miller\u2019s case, as Chairman of the School Board and among other things, Miller headed up the giveaway of the old North Shelby School by disregarding the offer to CCS by Mr. Willie Green to swap property adjacent to Shelby High School valued an over a million dollars in favor of a \u201cso-called\u201d property sale to Dr. Lamont Littlejohn for half a million dollars. And I say the \u201cso-called\u201d sale transaction to Littlejohn\u2019s Church is a giveaway\u201d because six months has gone by and Mt Calvary Church has not paid up. And is likely not to pay up. And it is also likely that an under the cover deal on the sale of the Old North Shelby School property was always intended to be a payoff to Rev. Littlejohn and Mt. Calvary to get out the \u201cblack\u201d vote for Democrats Shearra Miller, Richard Hooker, Roger Harris and Michael Tolbert as well as RINO Republican Greg Taylor.<\/p>\n

So, all you taxpayers-Red and Yellow, Black and White- in Cleveland County; wise up and smell the roses. Get rid of all the politicians that rob our children of the opportunity for a sound basic education and giveaway our hard-earned dollars for political payoffs. Vote for Robert Queen, Ron Humphries, Joel Shores, Rodney Fitch and Samantha Davis for the School Board on November 3, 2020.
