Shelby: Right in the middle of the American Legion World Series games; where disgraced and defeated former Commissioner Eddie Holbrook, County Manager Brian Epley and Commissioners Susan Allen, Ronnie Whetstine Johnny Hutchins and Doug Bridges are putting on the 2019 ALWS games at county taxpayer expense–touting Shelby as the City of Pleasant living- the major Charlotte TV News reporters are up at the Cleveland County Law Enforcement Center with horrible news. Murders and shootings are rampant in Cleveland County. And a 16-year-old black male named Malik Jones was served a murder warrant while in jail and was involved in 13 shootings in Shelby in July alone. Jones has been dubbed the \u201cmost dangerous human being\u201d by WSOC- Channel 9 TV. Jones was also charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction!! <\/p>\n

Charleston, Las Vegas, El Paso and so many more places have their mass shootings. Shelby and Cleveland County Just made that list. By a teenager. Probably a CCS student. Cleveland County and Shelby is waiting for some expert opinion on what went wrong here and why???<\/p>\n

So much for tourism bound for Cleveland County, no matter how many $$Millions ($7 million budgeted in 2018-2019 alone) the Commissioners waste promoting Cleveland County and Shelby.<\/p>\n

Selected Statements About Malik Jones from Fox News:<\/p>\n

Malik Jones, 16, of Shelby, was found by police smoking marijuana in front of a trailer Friday, according to Det. Donald Bivins with Shelby police.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it is hard to believe when you look at this young man, but he is the most dangerous human being in Cleveland County,\u201d said Sally Kirby-Turner, Cleveland County Assistant District Attorney.<\/p>\n

When he was arrested, officers searched a nearby car, they say they found a sawed-off shotgun, an AR-15 and a .45 caliber handgun.<\/p>\n

Jones is under a $650,000 bond. And he is being charged as an adult.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of the 13 shootings in Shelby Jones has been accused of since the beginning of July:<\/p>\n

1.\tJuly 5 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle at 832 Churchill Drive
\n2.\tJuly 5 – Assault with a deadly weapon at 1300 S. Morgan Street
\n3.\tJuly 10 – Assault with a deadly weapon at 109 Chestnut Street
\n4.\tJuly 14 – Shooting into occupied property at 412 W. Graham Street
\n5.\tJuly 21 – Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury at 1316 Concord Street
\n6.\tJuly 22 – Shooting into an occupied property at 824 Hamrick Street
\n7.\tJuly 23 – Assault with a deadly weapon at 211 N. Morgan Street
\n8.\tJuly 25 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle at 304 Broad Street
\n9.\tJuly 25 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle at 902 Kearney Street
\n10.\tJuly 28 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle at 1331 Newton Street
\n11.\tJuly 28 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling at 304 Broad Street
\n12.\tJuly 29 – Shooting into an occupied dwelling or moving vehicle at 342 Grice Street
\n13.\tJuly 29 – Assault inflicting serious bodily injury on Grice Street<\/p>\n

Malik Jones is also accused of shooting and killing 19-year-old Artist Torrence on Melrose Drive on June 13 and possession of a weapon of mass destruction-a sawed off shotgun. And who knows what else Jones has done that Law Enforcement has not been able to pin on him.<\/p>\n
