If Election History holds true in Cleveland County there will be a collection of political articles extolling the virtues of the incumbent CCS School Board members running for re-election and how great they are to look into the eyes of hundreds of Christians and deny citizens the right to have a Prayer before School Board meetings. I expect these articles will be coming out right before the Tuesday Nov. 3, 2015 Election Day. They will probably come out this weekend, especially big in the Sunday Edition, followed by some on Monday.
This is an old trick based on the theory that people with little education don’t have a long attention span. Therefore, they tend to only remember the last things they hear or read. That’s what the Star things about Cleveland County folks and this theory, over the years usually works. Mostly because local folks, up to recently, didn’t have other sources of local information than the Star. But as you are sitting there reading this article, you know that is no longer the case. The Star now has no monopoly on local political news and citizens now have a better opportunity to get straight information on what has been going on in local politics. Especially on the shenanigans at the CCS Board told in this 2015 election year.
But, it is still a case of changing the habits of Cleveland County voters. Before you voted in a bunch of crooks, but never found out they were crooks. Now you know who are the crooks and who is not a crook.
That being said, the School Board race is very important. Not only is selecting the best candidate important, selecting a five person team out of the seventeen candidates running for the school board is the most important.
We recommend voting for these FIVE Candidates on November 3, 2015.
CCS School Board — Vote these Five:
► Robert Queen
► Bill Gray
► Nikki Ledford
► Hal Hastings
► George Falls
Also, Early voting is going on right now. We don’t recommend Early Voting, but if that is what you do, please vote the slate shown above. You and your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be glad you did.
