Shelby Councilman Andrew Hopper Called out for Hypocrisy!!! –Given major tongue-lashing for not being fair and not doing job!!! –Other Black Leaders Too—More Description in another article!!! –Shelby Star also involved in major example of a divisive behavior!! Report provided by Robert A. Williams

Editor’s Note: Plantation Politics has taken over the entire black community and especially the black community church leadership in Shelby and in Cleveland County. To use language well understood in the black community, it is a battle between the “Coons” (“Uncle Toms” to the white community) and everybody else. All undercover and supported by the “bro-code” of silence. But not everybody is being silent. Mr. Willie Green and Rev. Dante Murphy are speaking out. Taking names and calling them out. In our opinion, anything that will break the long time “silence” in everything that is Shelby and Cleveland County is a good thing.

Mr. Willie Green speaks out to Shelby City Council Member Andrew Hopper. May 5, 2020

Councilman Andrew Hopper,

The purpose of this email is to point out your hypocritical position and support for racial profiling in the City of Shelby, but not the County. In your recent Facebook posting, within hours of the incident between Jeff Ross and the Cleveland County Deputies, and without gathering all the facts surrounding the stop and search. You advise Mr. Jeff Ross to file a lawsuit, and you stated, “Sad day for Cleveland County, pure profiling at best.” But you refuse to hold your city manager and colleagues accountable for their discriminatory practices.

If you believe it’s a sad day in Cleveland County for Mr. Ross’s traffic stop and search. Then what type of day is it in the City of Shelby when you remain silent on how I been discriminated and publicly defamed by the government agency you now govern and your colleagues and your City Manager?

Why have you not spoken publicly and voiced your outrage – as you have done on Facebook in the case with Mr. Ross – when there is undeniable proof of discrimination in your government agency? No, you were not part of the initial crime of City Manager Howell’s defaming comments, claims of me engaging in a criminal act, and no, you were not part of the crime when the City denied my zoning application. But your silence and refusal to call for the termination of Mr. Howell, a demand for a public apology by your colleagues, and to fairly compensate me for the damage that has been done. It makes you guilty of an orchestrated coverup.

Until you step up and speak out, the fact is your silence is a loud voice in support of racial profiling within the City of Shelby that lets black businesses know that you are not welcomed in this City.

Willie A. Green, Sr.

Rev. Dante Murphy weighs in on Shelby City Council Member Andrew Hopper. May 5, 2020

Rev. Webber, Mr. Hooper, & Mr. Jeff Ross,

It is my hope that neither of you see what happened to Mr. Ross, what happened to Mr. Willie Green, or other known discriminatory practices are isolated incidents, but rather, it is a culture of bad behavior. Attorney Martha Thompson shamed the City of Shelby by deeming City Manager Rick Howell’s racist and defamatory comments as “rhetorical hyperbole.”

We remain prayerful that at least four City of Shelby Council members will vote to end the dispute involving Mr. Willie Green. Doing so will place you on the right side of history.

Stay strong and keep the faith.

Rev. Dante’ Murphy

Councilman Hopper,

While I appreciate your public anger of the racial profiling of Jeff Ross by Cleveland County Sheriff Officers and your posting yesterday about the “double standards in America” of when it came to the Michigan protesters carrying guns and assault rifles in the State Capitol and they should have been arrested on the spot. Do you not see the double standard and the discrimination within the City of Shelby Government that you now serve as an elected official?

And much like you want the Michigan protestor arrested and the County Officers sued, why are you not demanding City Manager be terminated for his discriminatory actions and lying to the City Council and for the City to fairly compensate me for its’ discrimination and defamation actions against me? Use that same anger and outrage when it is happening in your own home.

Willie A. Green, Sr.

Councilman Hopper,

I was reminded today that the week after being elected to the City Council, you were in attendance at my zoning hearing where the white community turned out to protest my townhouse development because they claim I was building “low-income” apartments. And all five of the white Councilman voted to deny my ability to develop my townhouses.

Was the decision by the five white City Councilmembers not to approve my zoning application a form of discrimination and retaliation as Councilman David Causby explained to the Shelby Star reporter as to the reason why my application was denied? If so, would you support my decision to sue the City, as you have suggested to Jeff Ross to sue the County (Sheriff)?

Willie A. Green, Sr

Mr. Willie Green speaks out to Shelby City Council Member Andrew Hopper. May 11, 2020

Councilman Hopper,

I will continue to follow up with you for your public statement – as you did with Jeff Ross – on if you believe the actions by the City of Shelby denying my townhouse application was a form of discrimination and retaliation against me as a black-owned company? And will you push for the termination of City Manager Rick Howell for his decision to not only publicly defame me in a way to deny me an opportunity for a partnership with the City? But also admit in his Appeals Court Brief that he was joking when he told the City Council about my alleged financial situation and criminal intentions?

There is nothing in Mr. Howell’s job description as City Manager for him to be a comedian, and since his defense is that he was engaging in “rhetorical hyperbole,” when advising the Council. He should be terminated.

I look forward to your public statement.

Willie A. Green, Sr.

Rev. Dante Murphy weighs in on Shelby City Council Member Andrew Hopper. May 11, 2020

Mr. Hopper,

It is my understanding that it takes four votes to settle this unnecessary complaint. Both you and Rev. Charles Webber are positioned to do the right thing with little threat to your livelihoods. If there is any courage left within your spirit please use it in this matter.

Rev. Dante’ Murphy

Editor’s Note II: Folks, do you not4ice anything missing here? Where is Shelby Council Member Andrew Hopper’s comments and input. Has Andrew Hopper been told by Rick Howell, Mayor Stan Anthony and Violet Dukes’ attorney to keep quiet? To sit down and shut up maybe!! No matter that nobody has publicly told you to shut up, that is what you have done. Same for Rev. Charles Webber as well as about everybody else in the black communit4y except Willie Green and Rev. Dante Murphy. Andrew Hopper, you are either a part of the solution or you are part of the problem. So far you appear to be a big part of the problem. I would expect more silence out of you will cause your name to be added to a lawsuit. Ask Rick Howell, Stan Anthony and Violet Dukes how that feels!!!

Stay Tuned folks. More is coming about the Shelby Star’s divisive article, a call to arms to divide up amongst yourselves so your “white” oppressors will remain your oppressors. Joined in by their “coons” who do their share of oppressing your First Amendment Rights to speak for yourself. Your silence is deafening to the point that nobody cares what you say anyway.

Well it appears Racist Rick’s number has been called. The City really has it out for Willie Green who is trying to do some good things. He can join Fishy Fisher, Bully Glover, and a long list of other crooks in Cleveland County. Andrew Hopper get your head out of your azz and stand up for injustice. I bet if Massa Holbrook wanted to build a sports park and housing the cIty would jump on it….Shameful .
