Kevin Gordon: Playing games with Your 2025+ CC Property Tax Bills!   Cover-up for Cleveland County Being Broke $$$ ???

Folks, Robert A has told you and told you again many times over that Cleveland County is broke because of the huge $Hundred$ upon $Hundred$ of Million$$ of debt that is building up because the damn fool CC Commissioners, under the direction of “Dictator” Kevin Gordon insists upon building the UNNECESSDARY New CC Justice Center.

Robert A could and will write a book, chapter upon chapter about all the “signs,” indications, observations calculations, etc. that prove CC is broke. But, for now, offers only three:

. The big solid blue fencing surrounding the entire construction site to prevent the general public passing by from observing the lack of progress on the construction site caused by wastefulness and improper and incompetent planning. And to hide the super-slow construction execution rate that has had to be severely slowed because the $105 Million$ advanced to CC by the State is either gone already or seriously depleted.

The forced SILENSE surrounding the project. The lack of transparency. There are now detailed construction progress reports on the Commissioner Meeting agendas. There are no publicly available and detailed construction progress reports discussed at Commissioners meetings. Or even released with spending totals released to the Shelby Star or anybody else.

The single large crane that is visible above the Blue fencing and the building girders that have slowly been installed. Go by and take a look at the single New Justice Center crane and then drive over to the Catawba Casino and observe the six or seven large building construction cranes that appear to be working 24/7. When money is available, construction goes fast. When Money is not available, construction goes slow.

 

Now that this preliminary info has been laid out for you Cleveland County Taxpayers, the real point of this article goes as follows:

 

Since the release of the new CC Property Revaluation Letter hit Cleveland County mailboxes a week or so ago that contains the New Appraised Values for every piece of property in Cleveland County, Facebook has been lite up with people complaining of exceedingly high values being assigned to their property. Knowing full well that higher Property Values will likely translate into higher Property TAX BILLS that will soon follow. Some of these Facebook posts and other messages that have reached the attention of CC Dictator Kevin Gordon. Gordon has published a statement of his own, which states something like this: “I am playing Chess and You are playing Checkers.”

 

Such a statement as this is most often used to insinuate that those who play Chess are smarter, more cultured and more refined than the dummies in Cleveland County that play checkers. That those that play Bridge are smarter, more cultured and more refined than those that play Rook.

 

So, “Smart-Ass CC Dictator Kevin Gordon and his band of wishy-washy Commissioners have announced to the humble taxpayers of Cleveland County that the, Dictator & Lord Master of us all, Kevin Gordon, is smarter, more cultured and more refined than all the rest of us Cleveland County “Hicks ” and “Unworthy” and “Unwashed” and “Low-down” CC taxpayers who don’t “deserve” to be informed about anything. Much less how much the Commissioners intend to “steal” from us taxpayers through inflated Property Tax Bills to pay for their Folly.

 

Hey folks, Robert A just came up with a new name for the so-called New CC Justice Center. Gordon’s Folly. Absolutely the most expensive County Project in the entire history of Cleveland County. All at Taxpayer expense and all totally unnecessary.

 

Editor’s Note: Taxpayers, wake-up and ask Kevin Gordon and his band of foolish and wasteful CC Commissioners to publicly explain in full detail why this new Kevin Gordon’s Folly (the New Justice Center) was necessary. And Robert A will clearly show why it was NOT necessary. Perhaps Robert A will show why Gordon’s Folly was unnecessary anyway. But only after the CC Property Tax bills come out.

Hey, now Robert A is playing Chess, while Kevin Gordon et. al. are playing Checkers. Or maybe Tiddley-Winks. In any event, Robert A predicts that CC Taxpayers will soon be much poorer when the CC Property Tax bills start p[uring in. Year after Year after year… Until we die. Then CC Taxpayer’s children and Grand-children will have to take over the Tax Bill debt payments.

 

What a financial mess Kevin Gordon, Johnny Hutchins, Deb Hardin and Doug Bridges have brought upon us?? And, we shall soon know whether or not to add newly elected Commissioner Tony Berry to that list. Hopefully NOT.
