Cleveland County Schools admin says:   Public Records Requests aren’t considered as URGENT!!

Folks, The Foothills News Channel has provided another in-depth account of Cleveland County Schools failure(s) to provide Public Records in accordance with North Carolina Law. In this case, there were over 3,200 emails (Public Records) related to bullying, fighting, and violence over a 31-day period earlier this year (2023) within Cleveland County Schools. If you don’t count the weekend days, that is well over 100 emails per day regarding bullying, fighting, and violence at CCS. Robert A and others have joined in on the effort to obtain these public records, but CCS has refused to provide these Public Records to anybody. Totally in violation of NC Law. And remember folks, it is YOUR CHILDREN who are the victims of this bullying, fighting, and violence at CCS. Bullying, fighting, and violence that CCS is covering up.

Editor’s Note: Note that Foothills News Channel provided a subtitle that stated: “(CCS) Says it will take until March 2025 to complete what was said to already have been completed.” Obviously, the School Board members Robert Queen, Joel Shores, Ron Humphries, Greg Taylor, Rodney Fitch, and Walter Scott Spurling are also in on these crimes against YOUR CHILDREN and the coverup. Perhaps hoping to get past the 2024 School Board Elections before this scandal finally gets out.

So, folks, Foothills News Channel has granted Robert A permission to reprint their article. Without further ado, here it is!!! Read it for yourself.

Cleveland County School admin says Public Records Requests aren’t considered as urgent

Says it will take until March 2025 to complete what was said to already have been completed

Where is the transparency these folks like to boast about? Having admitted that more than 3200 emails/communications related to bullying, violence, and fighting, the Communications Director has an entirely different take on this mess than their hired attorney. Unfortunately, neither of them appears to be aware of what is /has actually been said and not said. However, since these conversations have taken place on a public forum online, everyone can see this “transparency” in living color.

As can be seen in the pages that make up the dialogue between the Cleveland County School Board (their lawyer, the communications director, and another senior administrator) and the Sunshine Request Team, it becomes very evident, from the first response from the CCS system that they are making things up as they go.

This saga began on February 17, 2023 (maybe earlier). One thing I can say about the responses received from the public requests…they are consistently inconsistent. We will give you a breakdown of some of these questions and answers, but to view the entire conversation, you can go  here, or scroll through the documentation below.

Editor’s Note: The Entire Conversation noted above is 7 pages long. If your child has been a victim of bullying, violence or fighting at CCS or on the School Bus, YOU might want to read those seven extra pages. If so, here is the link to the full article as published by the Foothills News Channel.

Also, folks, with the Thanksgiving Holidays coming up, YOU might want to have a discussion with YOUR CHILDREN that attend Cleveland County Schools. Ask them if THEY have been a victim of bullying, fighting or violence? If you find out that they have, be sure to contact Parents Against Bullying NC at 704-418-6995. Their Office is located at 406 West Warren Street in Shelby. Which, incidentally, is about one block South of the CCS Central Offices.
