Notice: School Board Candidate Forum in Fallston-TONIGHT!!! First Ever Candidates Forum at Historic Stamey Event Center!!! Tuesday–September 27, 2022 at 7:00 PM (Doors open at 6 PM) Report and suggested questions by Robert A

No county-wide election political candidate’s forum has EVER been held in Upper Cleveland County to the knowledge of most observers. That will change tonight, hopefully forever, with this independently sponsored School Board Candidates Forum that will be held tonight, September 27,2022 at 7:00 PM at the historic Stamey Event Center in Fallston. Note that the doors open at 6:00 PM for those that want to look around and remanence and “palaver” about old times beforehand.

Since it has been noted that some questions mat be taken from the audience, unlike some other Shelby located candidate’s forums, what might be some likely citizens questions???

Robert A can suggest a few:

  1. What would YOU do to ensure that divisive books and lesson plans that teach such things as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and other indoctrination materials are removed from CCS and emphasis placed on teaching Reading Writing and Arithmetic? A sound basic education as defined by North Carolina Law and NC Supreme Court Rulings (Leandro).

  1. What would YOU do to see that the two-years-worth of education lost by the COVID Shutdowns will be made up for every child at every grade level?

  1. With all the $Millions$ spent on the Shelby High School Baseball Field, why do the children at Fallston Elementary School have to play ball in the mud for three days after every rain storm? (This is related to the inequity amongst facilities in Cleveland County Schools.)

  1. What would YOU do to implement the “lessons-learned” regarding providing good tasting and nutritious food from the School Board and Citizens “field trip to the Greeneville County Schools system? Note that any Federal Program component of any schools in the whole of the USA apply equally to every State.

  1. What would YOU do to ensure that county funded teacher supplement pay is performance-based instead of across the board? Note that performance-based pay ensures the best performing teachers are paid more and the lesser performing teachers are identified and may possibly require additional training or are weeded-out in favor of better performing teachers. This question can also be applied to all CCS Employees at every position and level.
