The Shelby Star has once again issued their clear support for foolishness at Cleveland County Schools. In particular the School Board and Superintendent Dr. Stephen Fisher. More importantly, they have run down the judgement and good intentions of the parents of Cleveland County Schools students. In today’s article titled “Some parents upset over graduation plan” (Supposedly written by Star Reporter Dustin George, but probably a press release secretly written by Supt. Fisher at School Board Chairman Shearra Miller’s direction). The Star says the parents are “incorrect” and accepts as fact, without explanation, the bull-ony that the School Board’s hands are tied by the governor’s Executive Orders. I have included in my articles documents that show the Star and the School Board are the ones that are incorrect and the parents are 100% correct. Facebook is lit up with the facts and figures. Even the Cleveland County Commissioners, well known for their own shenanigans, voted unanimously at their Meeting last night to support a traditional graduation for the 2020 graduating seniors.
MY first thought after reading that Star Article was that everybody should just boycott the Shelby Star. MY second thought was that Everybody should call the Star this very instant and cancel their subscription. Something that I have done myself around 20 years ago. I decided then that my name would never be on any subscription list at the Shelby Star and they would never receive one red cent of my money. Of course, I find a way to read their “rag” for free every now and then to see how often I out scoop the Star. And just about every article I write, I copy the Star reporters. It is kinda like twisting a cow’s tail to get them to jump in a certain direction.
Unlike the Shelby Star, I am going to report the other side of the question. What do the Citizens, parents, voters and taxpayers say about the CCS School Board’s foolishness???

“When I tell you I’m not at all surprised with The Shelby Star. Why didn’t they include the Governors Executive order? Why didn’t they speak to Tim Moore? Why didn’t they speak to health officials here? Why didn’t they put it in here what was said at the Commissioners meeting last night? I’ll tell you why. The Star has a contract with CCS that they don’t want to lose. I ask everyone to stand with us and the commissioners this Thursday at 3:30! We will not back down when it comes to our seniors. Election time is coming and I know 3 people that will be replaced!”
