Folks, The response to my “More Bad News at Shelby High School, CCS Cover-up and Authorities Notified” article has been fast and furious. And secret!!! If you think the CCS response is to find out what happened regarding the Title IX investigation of the sexual discrimination at the SHS Ballfield or the football player abusing the girl, you would be totally wrong. CCS at the highest levels, School Board and Superintendent level, are totally PO’d because I found out about these things and that I found out about these things “so fast.” They are livid and thrashing around trying to find out about my sources. Of course I am not about to tell them anything about my sources.
As far as the alleged assault, likely sexual assault, I have notified all the applicable law enforcement authorities and positively identified the one CCS/SHS person who can identify the football player, the alleged victim and the persons who told the tale. Those two girls did their duty. I have done my duty. I have done my duty as well as keeping my sources free from retaliation. What I am after is justice. Justice for the SHS girls softball team. Justice and equality of facilities for all the other schools in Cleveland County. And Justice for an alleged victim of sexual violence in accordance with the laws of North Carolina. Why is it that it seems the two girls and myself are all by ourselves?. Where are all the women’s rights folks and the me-too-ers? The do-gooders and such?
Actually, I don’t care about the women’s rights, me-too-ers and the do-gooders. They seem never to be around when they are really needed anyway. I suppose they are all planning for their Easter Coming Out Soiree. New Easter dresses and matching bonnets. They can’t be bothered with stuff such as this.
But, the facts of the matter are as follows:
CCS and everybody else knows the Boys Baseball Field at Shelby High School, where they have the American League World Series, is totally superior to any other sports facility within the Cleveland County School system. Bar none. The girls softball team field at Shelby High School is not at Shelby High School. The girls get bussed down to Shelby Middle School ball field. Sometimes, like when the Title IX investigators are in town. The girls team is not good enough to play on the boys ball field I reckon. It is totally obvious this ball field situation at Shelby High School is a classic Title IX violation. It is totally obvious that the rest of the schools in Cleveland County don’t have any facilities anywhere close to equal to the ball field at Shelby High School. Add auditoriums and swimming pools to that list too.
The situation with the Shelby High School football player and the alleged assault that was reported by two friends of the alleged victim to a Shelby High School Assistant Principal is also known to the school board and superintendent as well as the appropriate law enforcement authorities. If for no other reason than I told them myself. They know whether it happened or not. And you can bet if it didn’t happen, they would have a press release to the Shelby Star by now claiming all this is a false rumor. That is their MO. And likely to happen anyway if they figure they can lie out of this. And most likely they would get away with the lies anyway, even if the alleged sexual assault happened on the Court Square in broad daylight right in the middle of the Seventh Inning Stretch Band Stand. That is Cleveland County for you.
As for me, stay tuned. You will know what I know, when I know it. I ain’t skeered of CCS one bit.
Also, remember the School Walkout Wednesday at 10 AM to protest the unequal treatment of the Shelby High School Girls softball team as well as all the other inequality of facilities at other schools. Let me know if CCS discourages you from participating in this protest.
