Correction and Update to: School Board Candidates Bully Glover and Tommy Greene Conspiring with Black Churches, Other Black Non-Profit Organizations and Democrat Party to Violate Federal Law??? –Report by Robert A. Williams

Multiple sources have called in with updates and a few corrections to the this original article that was previously released.

The Corrections are:
1. My notation of Shiloh Baptist church was incorrect. It was Shoal Creek Baptist Church. We apologize for any inconvenience. The reference to Mount Calvary Baptist Church was correct in the original article.
2. Democrat School Board Candidate Coleman Hunt was also present at the October 9, 2017 meeting at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, along with Bully Glover and Tommy Greene. Democrat School Board Candidate Dena Green was NOT present at the said meeting at Mount Calvary Baptist Church and has been a vocal opponent in the legal and illegal aspect of what this group of people are allegedly trying to do.
3. Some typos in the original article.

1. High Level Democrat Officials, Including Congressional 10th District Representative Betsy Wells are reported to be very upset with what is happening with this group as described in the original article.
2. High Level NAACP officials attended the meeting at Mount Calvary Baptist Church and are very upset with what is described in the original article and the fact that they have been drawn into the fray.
3. Willie Green, husband and representative of Democrat School Board Candidate Dena Green attempted to attend this meeting at Mount Calvary Baptist Church but was rejected entrance by Larry Corry and others. Mr. Green was reached by telephone for confirmation on this and would not deny that this happened. Mr. Green stated that he just did not want to make any comments about this incident. Other sources report that Mr. Green was very upset at a high level NAACP member over this incident.
4.Sources reported that a number of CCS employees, including Cleveland Early college Principal Titus Hopper were in attendance as well as the Math Academy Director
Tropsie McCluney.
5. Sources report that as many as four persons have indicated that they will file an official complaint with the IRS regarding the illegal acts performed by the several 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that are involved as described in the Original Article.
6. Sources have confirmed that the Core Group of Cleveland County is a shadowy group surrounding the Math Academy conceived for the purpose of receiving and dispersing money to certain people without having to provide accounting to CCS. Sources also indicate the Core Group of Cleveland County has dropped their non-profit organizational status with the IRS a few years ago to mitigate exposure to audits looking for potential illegal activity. Perhaps the IRS would like to investigate this group too.
7. Commissioner Eddie Holbrook has raised money for the Math Academy as a campaign promise to the NAACP outside of regular CCS financing of the Math Academy. Don’t know if this fundraising money went straight to the Math Academy or to the Core Group of Cleveland County as political payoffs. You have to wonder if the whole existence of the Math Academy is in large part political payoffs for the black vote and has only incidental benefit for the black students that are enrolled.

Folks, hopefully a new group of School Board members will make groups such as the Math Academy, Communities in Schools and other shadow groups orbiting around CCS and funded by CCS a high priority for audit, review and perhaps disbandment during the next fiscal year.

First, the law is clear:

The Law as written:

The Restriction of Political Campaign Intervention by Section 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Organizations

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.

Certain activities or expenditures may not be prohibited depending on the facts and circumstances. For example, certain voter education activities (including presenting public forums and publishing voter education guides) conducted in a non-partisan manner do not constitute prohibited political campaign activity. In addition, other activities intended to encourage people to participate in the electoral process, such as voter registration and get-out-the-vote drives, would not be prohibited political campaign activity if conducted in a non-partisan manner.

On the other hand, voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or (c) have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.

Now that you have read what the law regarding Tax Exempt Not-Profit Organizations says, and you understand that those non-exempts cannot do the political stuff mentioned above, are you ready for the cold hard facts of political corruption in Cleveland County? If so, Read on!!!

The recent controversy regarding the Burns High School FFA Fair Booth Exhibit that was banned by Cleveland County Schools as well as the disappointing showing by Phillip “Bully” Glover and Tommy Greene in the 2017 Democrat Primary Election has Glover, Greene and the Democrat Party in Cleveland County in an uproar. The cozy financial relationships between certain people and groups that call the shots, “shot callers” as I have labeled them, have their cotton panties in a wad over the very large fact that their front men, Glover and Greene are getting ready to lose the school board election on November 7, 2017 to a group of candidates who will make a clean sweep of the School Board and CCS.

Here is what is coming down as we speak.

Ron Harrill, Larry Corry and Richard Hooker, connected at the hip in organizations such as The Core Group of Cleveland County, The Math Academy, the School Board and all round front men for the “shot callers” have gotten their marching orders. Reelect Phillip Glover to the School Board. At all costs and by any means.

Since Dena Green and Coleman Hunt were the top vote getters by far in the Democrat Primary Election, the only political option available for Harrill Corry and Hooker is to link Glover and Tommy Greene with Coleman Hunt and Dena Green “coat tails” to capture the “black” Democrat vote and for Glover and Tommy Greene to capture the “white” Democrat and a few RINO votes and hope to high heaven that Bully Glover gets enough votes to squeak out a win in November. All this depends on getting black voters out to vote and doing that depends on getting “Black” Churches and “Black Preachers to urge ALL “Black” Democrat voters to vote for all four Democrat candidates and not just the two “Black” Democrat Candidates and the “white” Democrat voters to double shot Glover and Tommy Greene only. Of course this damages the chances for the Black Democrat Candidates and deceives the “Black” Democrat voters, but hey, Cleveland County Democrats have done this for years. In close races and low turnouts the “Black” vote has often worked to elect such cads as Bully Glover.

All this may be just dirty politics, but it crosses the line to being a criminal act when it involves Black Churches. You just read the law, so you know that is correct. A cut and dried FACT. Not something Robert A. Williams has just made up.

But such crimes are not prosecuted in Cleveland County, so there is not much fear about any legal sanctions. About all that could happen would be for somebody to report this to the IRS and they would cancel the Non-Profit tax exempt status of some churches and the Core Group. And a few tax audits later some donors find themselves having to pay the IRS back taxes and penalties. Oh well, on that.

What has just happened in the past few hours is Bully Glover, Tommy Greene, Ron Harrill, Larry Corry, Richard Hooker, perhaps others and some Preachers from the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and perhaps the Shiloh Baptist Church are holding “Strategy Meetings” and such as well as letters being passed around in the Churches for the congregation to sign promising that they will vote “Straight Democrat” for the four Democrat (including Bully Glover) candidates for School Board on the 2017 General Election Ballot. That folks is against the law as I read the law as stated above.

Another thing about these “Strategy Meetings is Dena Green and Coleman Hunt have not been in attendance. Only Bully Glover and Tommy Greene.

Strange things happen when the “shot callers” get worried that their share of taxpayer “pone” is about to be shut off.

Of course all this will come to naught if the rest of us get out and vote for Danny Blanton, Rodney Fitch, Robert Queen and Kevin Whisnant for the school board on Election Day.
